Bought multiples of these pads back in 2010 after my Mom had a stroke. She had occasional issues with incontinence and these pads were wonderful. Looked nice and provided a more dignified preventative measure (and no disposable material going to a landfill!). We placed these in her assisted living apartment recliner, in our car and at our home (we brought her here several times each week). Later, they were great on her wheelchair, as well. Washed & dried daily. The assisted living facility loved them! For washing, we used the special detergent formulated for cleaning the chlorine out of swimsuits. Worked like a dream for removing urine odor. They still look like new! She died in 2013 and these pads found a new life in each of our vehicles. Wonderful as lap pads when eating in the car!! I highly recommend them! Buy them, you won't regret it.

We were using a folded white bed pad on my husband's recliner - as one reviewer pointed out, it screams "incontinence!" So I decided to spring for a more discreet chair pad, and chose this one. Size: my husband's recliner is a standard size, and the pad fits it perfectly. It covers the seat cushion precisely from side to side, and overhangs the front edge about an inch. Color: I would have liked a bigger choice of colors, but the brown goes well with the dark green print upholstery. Difficulty getting up: I was hesitant after reading two reviews that said the user couldn't slide forward to get up from the chair, but I had a hunch and I was right: the surface fabric is slightly napped, like a lint remover. When my husband reported that he couldn't get up, I turned the pad around, front-to-back, and voilà! - problem solved. I plan to buy another one so we can alternate them, and have one on the chair while the other is in the wash. I may also get one for his desk chair: it's upholstered in vinyl, but does absorb odors. Update: I have now purchased 2 brown ones for his recliner, and blue ones for the desk chair and the car seat. I have washed them over and over, and put them in the dryer on medium-low heat; when I remember, I take them out and drape them over a drying rack before they're fully dry, but I've left them in the dryer overnight and they're still flat, soft, and supple after more than a year of daily use.

I have a double rocker recliner that is my favorite seat in the house; it's also the favorite of two furry companions that love to cuddle up with me. These waterproof covers are a durable velour fabric that makes it easy to relax and enjoy the furniture without worrying about pet or people stains, odors or even hair. They measure about 20" in x 23" inches. The pad is waterproof and can absorb about one fluid cup. The nap of the fabric catches hair so and is easy to remove using a lint brush or tape roller. My couch did not come with those loose arm protectors so I use these in place instead. The brown color is a pretty close match so they really disappear rather than detract from the decor. I also find these incredibly useful to prevent stains from creams/lotions on my foot rest; the oils from these lotions would surely leave marks on the footrest over time but with one of these pads underfoot there are no worries that my creams will transfer to the fabric of the couch. I use my Amicare Absorbent Washable Waterproof Seat Protector Pad to put on our love seat between the console and armrest for my dog to lay on. We recently purchased new furniture and I needed a tastefully way to protect it. I tried going with just the blanket over the end of the love seat where my dog likes to lay. That was a constant battle keeping the blanket in place. The 21" x 22" pad fits perfect between the armrest and console. The non slip back keeps the pad in place on our microfiber love seat. The velour front is soft and lightly padded. My dog does not have issues with incontinence, but we do deal with wet paws from heavy dew or the rain from potty breaks outside. She is a long haired dog and tends to drag a few leaves and grass clippings in too. The seat pad has done it's job so far in keeping the love seat clean and dry. I have machined washed and machine dried it on a medium heat setting. The seat pad came out looking brand new. I purchased the seat pad in brown. It's a little darker shade of brown than what my computer displayed, but that is fine. It's a good color. Very pleased with my purchase.

This seat pad is a must to protect the favorite chair of an elderly parent. I have three so I am never without a backup. If running to a Dr appointment, it goes along in the car for protection. Washes up beautifully. p.s. Because mom is having trouble getting out of a chair, a boat cushion between the chair pad and protector raises and stiffens up the seat for some additional help. :^)
