Easy set up, works well
Easy set up and worked well. Only assembly required was attaching the blade. I like how the battery is compatible with all other Black & Decker tools I have.

Solid Saw for Light to Medium Jobs
This saw gets the job done for most household projects—it's lightweight, cordless, and easy to control. Blade changes are super simple, and the battery life is decent, though I wish it came with a second battery.

Black and decker cordless circular Saw My opinions
The only criticism is that the the gard makes it hard to replace Saw blades I had to struggle to put the blade I wanted to use it was the correct blat for the saw apart from the amount of teeth as I wanted a finer cut the blade I bought was a 5- 1/2" witch is the correct blade I also had to buy a saw guide for it .

A GREAT first circular saw
I am an IT guy. I tear apart technical things, electronics, build computers, cars, and other things. Up to this point in life, there were other people and other circular saws doing the circular sawing that needed sawed. But then there weren't. No other circular saws and no other people. This is the first one I bought myself, and I have to say I am completely satisfied with it as a first-saw first-time sawer with a circular saw. It's easy to use, the battery lasts for what I need, and learning the mechanics of adjusting and aligning and sawing were easy enough to figure out. I did have to Youtube some videos but it was all I needed to get going.Fully satisfied and would continue on with this equipment brand and system.

Excellent Battery Powered 5.5 Inch Circular Saw
I was so pleased to buy this circular saw because I had an extra 20 volt battery that I got with my Black & Decker BDCDHP220SB-2 20v Max Lithium Drill Driver with 2 Batteries. It comes with a 5.5 inch circular blade that is very appropriate for most general projects around the house. This saw probably isn't going to replace your AC powered 7.25 inch circular saw for big projects. But for me, this is just what I wanted to be able to go about anywhere without needing a AC power outlet. It is heavier weight than I expected - very robust appearance and has a great feel in your hand. At first I thought it was a 7.25 inch circular saw, but apparently I've forgotten since I sold off all my tools ten years ago. I haven't tried to see how long the battery will last yet. I have a total of four 20 volt batteries that fit it, so I'm not concerned. One of my 20 volt batteries is a 4 Amp Hour battery. I need the 4 Amp Hour battery for the trimmer and even then, sometimes I have to switch over to one of my other 20 volt batteries when the 4 Amp Hour battery is depleted.I am very pleased that Black & Decker has standardized on 20 volt batteries. It is really annoying to have a wide variety of tools from the same manufacturer and none of the batteries are interchangeable. A 20 volt lithium battery should be able to power most everything around the house. I have one Black and Decker 36 Volt blower that I already owned and I'm keeping it because I need two blowers (one for my wife and one for me). I am up to seven Black & Decker tools that use the same 20 volt batteries.

Fine if you already have the batteries
If I didn’t already have B&D batteries, I almost certainly would have returned this for another saw. The first one I ordered came with a package that appeared fine but a severely bent shoe. All I can figure is that someone dropped it, put it back in the box and returned it, and it was resold without inspecting it. Having seen that one, I knew this was very cheaply made, but going with a different brand would mean an expensive new battery system. Both the upper and lower blade guards are plastic. The lower guard often snags when it encounters material instead of sliding out of the way as it should. The shoe is difficult to adjust to 90° and seems to really want to be 1-2° off. Dust management on circular saws is always bad but this is abysmal, it just pushes the wood everywhere. It’s lightweight, which can be excellent, but also means it wanders easily from a straight line.I will use this on a track to cut sheet goods, but wouldn’t even consider using it on dimensional lumber. Adjusted square and with a track, it does a decent job on plywood, hardboard, and other sheet goods.Several have mentioned it didn’t come with a blade. It does, but you have to take the cardboard insert fully out of the box to find the blade underneath. It doesn’t matter much - like most saws, the original blade is very low quality and you’ll want to replace it anyway.Still giving it 3 stars as I know this is generally what to expect from one of these small circular saws, especially at this low price point.
