How much batter does each pan hold?

Agree that one standard cake recipe produces four of these mini cakes. After some experimenting, I have found that measuring 1.25 cups of rum cake batter into each pan is just the right amount to fill each pan without having excess.

I don’t like using cooking spray. What can I use to replace it and still get perfect nonstick results.?

You should never use regular cooking spray on bunt pans. it will leave a residue over time and the non- stick surface will be compromised. You should use Baker's Joy. It's a spray made especially for baking.

While everyone talks about the cup capacity of the pans, but what is the top diameter? Is it about 6 inches?

across the top its about 10 1/2" I could give you my recipe amounts if that would help you for the filling amount. But we love this pan
