Old El Paso White Corn Tortillas, 208g

Amazing! The gluten free old el paso corn wraps are by far the best gluten free wraps I've ever come across, they're very soft and full of flavour. Be warned that they are fairly small wraps, so not ideal if you expect them to be bigger, but I personally like that they're smaller and don't think this changes how great they are

These taste fine when compared to most GF products (I don’t need them, the wife is intolerant, but they’re fine in my opinion - most GF products are not ‘nice’ and you would only eat them if you ‘have to’ through intolerance) The only reason I said **** is that they are quite small when compared to the ‘normal’ tortilla’s offered by this company.

These are indeed very small Tortillas, as you can see from the photo, where they are placed on top of a brand of flour tortillas that are available on Amazon subscribe and save and these are already slightly smaller than regular sized flour tortillas. The corn tortillas are placed on top and to the left side of the regular ones, so that you can see how much is missing from these. Quite a lot!On the plus side, they are gluten free, being made purely from corn and that is what I was looking for.Taste test: I tried one straight out of the packet and found it to be weak, crumbly and easily breakable with a soft and light feel in the mouth, that I personally found a little unpleasant because the tortilla seemed to have so little substance to it and chewing was unnecessary, as it simply fell to pieces inside my mouth. The taste was fine and there was no smell to the packaging or tortillas as some have mentioned in previous reviews.Top Tip...For the next 2 tortillas, I heated them up in the toaster and this gave them a far better texture and more solidity. They were less crumbly and felt a lot better in the mouth where they did not disintegrate and it was necessary to chew. This was so much more pleasant than my first "raw" one and I will be toasting the remainder.Practicality wise. Mmmm. The size of these tortillas limits your options severely as you can fit so little inside.If I were not forced to be on a gluten free diet for health reasons, I would not bother at all with these. Given that most gluten free bread is fairly rank and falls to pieces, these will do as a bread substitute for now.Would I buy them again, maybe, if I can't find anything better. If you don't need to avoid wheat, I wouldn't bother with these.I do not receive any payment or free goods for writing these reviews. These remind me of the corn tortillas you get in Texas and México. The small size is perfect for a snack or creating soft tacos with a variety of fillings. The flavour and texture is also much nicer and more authentic than a lot of other brand corn tortillas.

The smell is the worst

Finally, a reasonably priced, 100% corn tortilla! Delicious too. Corn delivers a greater depth of flavour than any wheat based tortilla. Very happy with these and will buy again. Old El Paso need to get them in the supermarkets!!!!!!

Great alternative if you are living a Gluten Free life. Size is on the small side but I expected that based on reviews and there is plenty (10) to make up for that. Best one I’ve found that is remotely similar to normal wraps/tortillas! Will be buying again
