I came back 3 years later to buy this knife again!
I bought one of these in 2017 for myself. I found it to be a pretty great all-around knife if you’re ok with exchanging utility of use for the inconvenience of a bulky, large-ish, fixed blade knife. It’s inexpensive enough that you can really put it to work without fear. A friend of ours really dug it, so I gifted him mine. I’ve been missing that knife for a couple years, so I ordered and just received a new one. I’m pretty pleased overall with this knife. It’s heavy in the way you’d want a tool like this to be. It comes very sharp and holds an edge pretty well. Handle is sturdy and pretty, but the pins have some edges as does the spine of the blade through the handle which could be annoying. It’s an inexpensive Chinese knife that foots the bill really well dollar-for-dollar in my experience.

Most comfortable knife I ever put on my belt !
This is a great hunting or fishing knife! Yes, the handle is somewhat small, however after putting it on my belt. I realized that is part of what makes this such a great knife. It rides on Your belt like it is not even there. The smaller handle unlike the normal large handle does not stick out and make it bulky while You are wearing it. Yet it is not so small that it is not fully useful while in hand. In other words it is a trade off, but it also makes this the most comfortable knife of this type I have ever worn. Yes it has some minor flaws that only become apparent .......when VERY closely..... scrutinized. None are noticeable during normal handling without over eye balling. Mine came sharp enough to shave forearm hair with. I feel You must consider these faults along with the price You are paying to be fair. I will gladly take these with this price without complaint. Make no mistake this is a comfortable, sharp, useful knife at a GREAT price. I will order several for gifts this year. Also the sheathe is nice, and I love how the snap is operated from front to rear(to unsnap). That really makes it easy to unsheathe while on Your belt. I also rubbed it with canola (cooking) oil and a paper towel and it made the sheathe look fantastic! Pull the trigger on this one.

Small knife but well made and attractive
I like it, not enough for five stars, but I like it. One of the other reviews said it was smaller than expected and I can agree with that, but that's not a negative. It is a very handsome, well built, sturdy and sharp piece of steel. There must have been a leather shortage when they made the sheath because they used precious little of it. You really have to jam the knife into it and then force the snap to shut, but it does shut firmly and securely. That's really unimportant. I have yet to buy a knife for the sheath. This is a good addition to my collection of fixed blade knives. It sports a full tang and a very nice wood or simulated wood handle and the weight of the knife feels just right for its size. I too am a big guy with big hands, but didn't feel as though the knife got lost, there's plenty of gleaming, sharp blade to prove that I am holding one. I don't know how this knife or any of my knives would stand up under hard use because I don't use them that way, I collect knives for my own personal viewing pleasure. I don't hunt, crawl through rain forests, fight crocks or whittle so if you are looking for a review for that kind of stuff, this ain't it. This is a sharp knife that comes in a skimpy leather sheath. It is not a toy and should not be within the reach of children.

Awesome knife, great buy!
This is a incredible knife for the price and quality. I have been a carrier of fixed blades for many years, as I spend 1000s of hours a year riding a Harley on the open road and never know what I will encounter. A good tool is a necessity. I have tried out many styles and brands and am very impressed with this knife. This knife is of good size, but not too big to carry. The quality is great, 440 Stainless (same as a Buck), full tang, with a very sharp edge out of the box, with a standard quality leather sheath with a handle snap. A nice thing about the sheath is the snap is low so the wearer's shirt can slide behind the handle of the knife, keeping it exposed and legal for carry (in CA anyway). The only downside is that the sheath doesn't come with a inner slice guard, so the quick handed may damage it if not careful. In summary, the price and the quality make this an incredible knife and I am 100% happy with my purchase.

Good not Great
I like this knife. The materials seem like they are of good quality. I like the shape and feel of the knife. The leather sheath is very high quality and looks great. However, the knife with it's great materials has flaws which are representative of the price range for a knife like this. The metal and the wood don't fit flush, there are large gaps where the blade and the hilt were forged together, and the bonding/filler material for gaps (like tar) is not contained to the gaps but flows over. I will use the knife, keep it, and like it but because of the level of integration on it, I won't be too worried about losing it while hunting. The knife is as pictured, but the flaws don't represent custom construction, just not quite up to par with other knives that are typically 3x this price. I don't see the flaws causing this to fall apart and I'll find some epoxy or something to fill gaps at the handle interface. There are also fairly deep machining marks on one side at the 'double blood grooves' which are about 1/8" apart and too deep to polish out. I used a cheapo sharpener that I got on Amazon to sharpen the blade when I got it. It is a ceramic sharpener. I found that the 440 steal seems a bit softer than expected as the sharpener easily put a curve on the sharp edge of the knife.... I could probably know more about sharpening. If you can put up with a few flaws as I've mentioned, get this knife. I plan to carry it for hunting next year. It is on par or slightly lower quality than those pakistan knives they sell at gun shows, but more style to it than those.

Completely worth the buy
When I was looking through Amazon for a fixed blade to keep on my person, this one stood out from the rest. Let's start with the blade. SHARP, SHARP, SHARP is all I can say. I started whittling staves in my backyard immediately out of box. In addition to its sharpness, the blade is wonderfully balanced. One point I forgot to mention is its weight. For a knife of its size, I'd say it weighs a pretty fair amount and I like that. It makes the balance more solid. Finally, the sheath. Believe it or not its actually a very sturdy case. My one qualm with this knife, the only problem, is in the way that the sheath was made. A lot of fixed blade sheaths have a slot for the blade and then a few inches of leather with the buckle to latch it down somewhere in the middle of the handle. This knife, however, clips directly under the bolster. This causes the handle to stick up just a bit more than I'd like. Overall, though, this knife is a solid 5/5

Great for skinning deer
I worked as a butcher for several years, my job was to skin the animals. Pigs most of the year but when Deer season came we shut down domestic side and people brought in Deer. I would estimate I've skinned around 400 Deer and after I left there I needed a knife to skin my own deer and knew what I was after. I've skinned 6 or so with this knife and it's perfect, the steel is hard enough to stay sharp/hone up as needed, but it's soft enough my old school whetstones and some spit will sharpen it to popping hairs off my arm in just a few minutes, people get too worked up over some modern super steels they can barely sharpen without wearing out a fancy diamond whetstone and even at that it takes more time. Blade shape is the classic bowie knife, the point is out of the way so you don't accidentally pop through skin, but when you need it to make a hole it's there with a twist of the wrist. I've had no problem jointing tails with this knife either. Sheath is comfortable to wear on the belt, don't jam your dirty knife in it but that goes for any leather sheath.

I am scared of this knife...
The reason i am scared of this knife because it is so freaking SHARP! I have cut myself 3 times already with it, accidentally of course. The knife is full tang. The only thing that I dislike about it, it's that it has the made in china writing at the place where the blade and handle meet. Other than that, it is a very beautiful blade with an awesome leather sheath. I have not the chance to test it out so I am not really sure how it functions. All in all, for the price, it is a very good knife. One last thing, in my honest opinion, it seems as though this is more of a "decoration" knife. It is sharp but it just looks like it to me...kind of like a gift for a boss... BE CAREFUL WHEN CHECKING ITS EDGE OR YOU WILL HAVE CUTS ALL OVER YOUR HANDS.
