FlashingBlinkyLights Happy Star Light Up Pillows with Auto-Off Slow Color Changing LEDs

I bought this for my son and he loves it, however I didn’t realize how sensitive the “on/off” feature of just tapping the pillow would be. It goes on and off just because any movement at all will usually trigger it. It’s super bright and the colors are great.

EDITED UPDATE, DECEMBER 10, 2017I initially wrote a review yesterday giving this one star because I could not get the lights to stay on for more than 3 seconds. I was frustrated that I was told initially that I would get a refund when what I really wanted was a replacement -- I wanted this in time to give my granddaughter for Christmas. Now I am updating my review to 5 stars and with a different header.Backstory: I tried and tried to get the batteries that accompanied the pillow to work, but the lights would not stay lit for more than 3 seconds. I tried brand new batteries that I had bought a couple of days before -- still wouldn't stay lit. I flicked the on/off switch several times. I tried squeezing the battery pack with it inside the pillow, that didn't work, either. Then I wrote to FlashingBlinkyLights and Amazon to complain. I was assured I would get a replacement, but wondering what to do with the old one since it wouldn't be taken back, I tossed it down in disgust on a table to deal with it later. Suddenly, it started working!!! And it worked perfectly! Ten minutes of beautiful, gradual lighting and then it shut off -- exactly as it's supposed to. Realizing then what the packaging doesn't tell you -- that it needs a hard jar to make it work, I hit it again and it went on again.Here are the instructions that aren't given with the item: you have to put the switch for the battery case to "on," then load the batteries and tuck it back inside the special pouch in the pillow, then drop, or hit the pillow and it will go on! You never have to take the battery pack out again except to eventually replace the batteries.Now that I know how to make it light up, I absolutely love it. It's really cute and super cashmere-rabbit-like soft. The lights are pretty, and soothing. I know my granddaughter will love it and heck, now I'm thinking of buying one for myself, ha! The only thing I still dislike is that batteries that were sent were slightly smaller, in diameter than the regular AA batteries used and sold in America. This means that installing and removing regular AA batteries sold in America is kind of difficult because the battery pack housing is a bit tight.

I bought this pillow as a gift for my niece wel the first pillow we bought her we couldn’t get it to work tried changing the batteries nothing then I contacted the seller Melissa who right away contacted me to try different ways to get it to work still wouldn’t come on so she send a refund right away my niece still wanted that pillow so I reordered it she just got it in the mail works great she loves it thank you so much Melissa for your quick response will definitely be buying from you again.

I have tons of star pillows for my babies because they love them. Unfortunately, many are not well made and they stop working after not too long as I have TWINS. Anyway, it was cute that my kids differentiate this guy from the others because of his cuter face with the little red mouth. They also love cause and effect. They hit him and he lights up and hits again and he’s off. Just a great toy. When he didn’t work I thought I was in for another broken but still cute star. I replaced the batteries and he worked! Tells me that he’s used a lot because he’s loved a lot and that’s all I need to know!!

We bought this three months ago, tested it, and then set it aside to give our daughter after the new baby arrived. I gave it to her and it worked for less than a week. Now it only lights up red and is dark when the other colors should be present. She only used it at bedtime and only for one rotation of the lights each night.

I bought two of these pillows for my 3 year old twins. Both of the pillows would only stay on for about 5 seconds and turn off. I requested a refund they sent me and email very quick and we talked about the problem next thing I know I was offered a refund or for them to send out two more pillows. My girls love their pillows so I requested new one. They were here in just a couple of day I can explain how awesome their customer service was and what excellent service I received. I would def buy from this company again. The new pillows work just like they are suppose too!

Bought as a Christmas present for my daughter. Only seems to turn red and blue but she doesn't care. It was a much bigger hit than I expected. She sleeps with it every night and it is still going strong two months later.

Works great. I plan on bringing on a camping trip next month so I haven’t used it very much, but it lit up on delivery and no issues so far.
