Great Value.
I've owned this and used this for over a year now. Works great. Not as bright as the new LED ones, but it works great for using flourescent bulbs.

Great quality for the money!
Haven't really had a problem with this. I love the fact that it has both white umbrella's and black ones. I use the white ones for my girls, and the black ones for the guys. To have this option is very nice. The power of the lights are not that of what you can get out of a speedlite - but, even if i were to move to a speedlite instead of these lights, i can still use the stands for other things - and even maybe introduce some additional light into the background to help set the subject apart from the scene. The lights do need to be placed close to the subject - maybe 1 - 1 1/2 feet away from their face. White umbrella's, i point at the subject (light shining thru the umbrella) and this seems to give off a very nice and soft light (tis why i save it for the girls)Not all that great for large shoots - but i've used it before for a family of 3 & a family of 4. Haven't done anything bigger yet due to the closeness of the lights to the subjects.Cord length is a problem if you don't have plugs all around your house. I do, so it's not a problem for me. I also keep a 3 plug outlet from one outlet plug with me so i can plug all three lights in off of one plug if there is only one that's close by... cord length starts to matter then.Carrying case is a little on the cheap side - but i didn't get this for a carrying case... i've setup this light setup and put it away a total of 15 times now - and the points of ware are... the zippers bend really easy - so be gentle pulling on them, as the zipper tab/puller likes to form into a curve into the direction you pull it. The case material is of nylon-ish material - and not easily puncturable - so that's nice. Not heavy grade. I don't plan on using this for any heavy duty equipment though, so this is ok.Would i get this over a speedlite? I only do pictures vs. video - so probably would go with a speedlite (Yongnuo YN660). Setup time takes roughly 6 minutes for me from case to finished process. Speedlite is nearly instant. Subjects get a little warm sitting in front of 3 lights that are pointed at or near them. Both a speedlite and/or this umbrella setup gives me a professional look where i get more respect as a photographer - and more willing participants. Clients don't see "Cheap" when looking at the setup. They don't see "Pricey" either - but it's a nice look - both in professionalism and the photo's it turns out.

This lighting kit saved my job.
Okay.I’m a Poshmark seller and the lighting in my “studio” is TERRIBLE. I’ll post 200+ items in one day and I would have to sit there after taking each photo and edit the lighting before posting so I decided it was time to take the plunge and get a lighting kit.I had no idea where to start but this was really low priced and I didn’t want to spend a lot for something I wasn’t 100% sure how to use, so I picked this one. I read the reviews and they were about 50/50 as to whether or not the kit is good but I figured I’d try it out.Box came a day after I ordered it, perfect condition. My wife helps me put things together because I tend to break stuff and I’m horrible with directions, it took her a little less than 10 minutes to put this kit together. The ONLY thing I didn’t like is that there is no direction on which umbrellas go on what stands. No setup ideas as far as the umbrellas go, but I figure anyone can google that real quick so it’s definitely no dealbreaker.I’m attaching a photo of a pair of jean shorts I’m selling. The picture on the left is taken with two lights on in my studio, without the lighting kit. The right photo is taking with the lights off in my studio, and only the lighting kit on.I don’t have to edit ANYTHING anymore. This thing has saved me HOURS of editing and frustration and literally made my job a million times easier. I wish I was some sort of social media influenced so I could brag about how good this is to everyone, but amazon reviews will have to do!Buy it, you won’t regret it! My pictures say it all!😊

Works great!
We use this in our flower shop to take photos of arrangements and it works great. Replacement bulbs are very hard to find, though.

Great starting kit, decent storage container
So this kit was the same price as Neewer's kit, plus it contained 2 silver reflectors instead of simply the white diffusers. The kit was easy to set up and we were amazed at how much equipment we could buy for 45 dollars. The stands lock really well and the bulbs are bright.Pros:The two tall stands are really tall and you can get them above target to down-angle light if you want. The stands lock really well and the bulbs are bright and consistent with one another.Cons:The lights are really hard to plug in, to the point where I thought I was going to break the plugs. They worked fine once I did plug them in however, and everything seems fine now. It was just concerning and required some real force. It could have been related to the two new power strips we bought for these lights, however. The Storage bag relies heavily on the cardboard packing material to keep everything safe. Don't throw away the packaging materials once you unpack your equipment, as that is what makes up your safety padding. We returned all of our materials to their plastic wrap / styrofoam padding and back into their cardboard boxes before putting them in the travel bag.we might sew on a few loops to mind the umbrellas a bit better. From the factory they are loose in the gear bag.Overall for 45 dollars, a set that works and is safe, even if that means re-using the shipping materials...who cares? the gear is secure and it works great. 5 Stars.
