I have both this Demmex towel in Sage and a Teema Labyrinth in white. Comparing them, I found the Teema to be softer and thinner/more drapey, while the Demmex feels thicker and sturdier. Still soft, just not AS soft. They are identical length, but the Teema is a few inches wider. The knots on the Demmex all came very well tied, while I had to tighten or re-tie many of the tassels on the Teema. On looks, I honestly can’t decide which I like better — the sage color is absolutely gorgeous and I like the diamond-and-stripe pattern, but I also adore the rainbow of colors in the Teema. Functionally, I soaked the Demmex for 24 hours as recommended and washed, then air-dried. I found some fuzz but not that much. I’ve washed a couple times since, as well. I’ve used it both at the water park/pool and as a bath towel and found it to be absorbent and quick-drying. I haven’t used the Teema yet so I can’t compare its performance. Price-wise, the Demmex comes in at half the cost of the Teema, which I think is excellent value. I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to purchase more of these!

After trying 2 other brands from Amazon (Havuland and Ray Silver) the Demmex is FAR superior! The towels were so soft and cozy right out of the package. I soaked them for 24 hours like the packaging said and then laundered them in cold water, followed by a delicate cycle in the dryer. I have also been looking for Turkish towels that work well for after shower use and these absorbed so much better, compared to the other 2 brands. They feel plush like a traditional towel and absorb on contact - and this was only after one 24-hour soak and one wash! So, they should keep getting softer and more absorbent as I use them. The other towels that I tried (Havuland and Ray Silver) just pushed the water around on my skin and took a long time to absorb, even after soaking and washing multiple times. I think they were a cotton-poly blend, but the Demmex is definitely legit 100% cotton from Turkey and backed up by the certification documentation that comes with each item. I purchased these towels specifically for camping, where I will be using them for showers AND to use at the beach, so they had to work in both situations. (They couldn't just be decorative sarongs with mediocre absorbency, like so many other Turkish towel brands.) These towels have exceeded my expectations and I already placed an order for more. I plan to use these at home, for camping and the beach, because they truly work for all situations. So glad I decided to go with this brand because I am beyond happy with my purchase and would absolutely recommend to anyone else looking for high-quality Turkish towels. The towel is well made. It arrived quickly. There is an issue. The odor. I have soaked it in vinegar and water for three days. Odor remains. Finally I soaked it in water, soap, vinegar and lavender essential oil all day today and there is some improvement. I’ll persist a few more days and re-post if I’m successful.

I got these for my husband as a gift, and he loves them. They're super light weight, but absorb really well. They don't take up a ton of room, so they're great for travel. They're extremely soft and really large so you can wrap yourself up like a burrito.

These towels are 100% cotton and suck up moisture like a sponge. They dry humans faster and dry super fast after use.I wash them in cold water and mild soap, no softener or conditioner with a little white vinegar if your kid left a wet one in their gym bag. The white vinegar will also work for a fabric softener for them if you need that).I used to work for Saks Fifth Avenue so I know how expensive bath towels can get. I also know that I am sick of paying $$ for thick, lovely, soft, "luxury" towels only to have them turn to cr** after a year's use.It's been a year since my first set and they look and feel great.

I wanted to wait until I had used and washed these towels before submitting a review. I had never purchased this type of towel before but I wanted them for two reasons 1) we go camping in an RV and I wanted towels that didn’t take up a lot of room and dried quickly 2) my expensive washer bangs when I put my regular towels in it and I didn’t want to wear out my appliance. The towels arrived very nicely packaged and on the scheduled day stated when ordered. When I took them out I was pleased with their size, thickness and appearance. Upon using them they took just a day or two to get use to, they aren’t as thick as regular towels however they were absorbent enough to get the job done. When I washed them I was very pleased, no banging in my washer and they dried in my drier very fast. After washing they looked as good as when I purchased them, no shrinkage, no pilling, even softer than they were prior to being washed. After I use them after I shower I hang them behind my bathroom door, they look nice but I think they are a little slower to dry than I had hoped due to a lack of air circulation behind the door , not the fault of the towels. They do dry, just not fast, but again I think that’s a location issue and not a towel issue (reason I only took one star off) and by the next day they are perfectly dry and smell fresh and clean. I purchased the matching hand towels once I decided how much I liked these towels. I am very happy with this purchase, I would buy these towels again from this distributor. As a result of the benefits listed above I don’t see myself returning to the former heavier type of towel in the future.
