Good all around mic for a great price
I've owned this mic for several years and have used it in the studio as well as for live applications. It has done very well for vocals even in operatic settings. I have used it for acoustic guitar and drums, again with a full sound reproduction. Love the switchable pattern which gives lots of versatility. I own a variety of mics, some much more expensive, but this has become my go to mic for many applications.

Very Good mic for Home Recordings
This mic turned out to be pretty good! I was leaving my home town and moving to another Continent, but didn't want to loose my clients and VO jobs, so I decided to purchase home recording equipment. This was the mic I chose. I tried it out at one of the main professional audio studios I work with and the sound technician gave this mic a 2 thumbs up! Of course you do need the CEntrance MicPort Pro for it to work out properly, and that will be another review..Very good Quality of sound, gives you all 3 patterns (omni, duo, and full).VERY IMPORTANT! Just so you know, it comes in a very sturdy wood box, and it brings a shock mount and a wind-stopper (which works as popper stopper, too) ... I didn't realize this and bought and additional shock mount (that doesn't fit my mic!) and an additional pop filter, which i will eventually use.Over all, very staisfied!

Maybe for something... but what?
Here's another case for why the cheap Chinese manufactured mics. have a bad reputation. It doesn't sound bad when you listen to it alone. It has that typical hyped high frequency response that sounds OK... until you try mixing it.And if you're recording vocals with this you need a lot of Processing to tame it down.Specifically De-Essing is needed to get rid of the 4 to 6Khz crunch, which is simply overpowering.Maybe for some sound sources, where you want a crispy crunchy sound, this will work.It created some harsh distortion when put through tube preamp. But for vocals it's just too crispy.
