After having owned/used the Windmill brand, I’m not impressed with most other windproof butane lighters.However, I found this to be an exceptionally good substitute.Lights every time, even in subzero temps (with a bit of warming). Refills are flawless— as with all butane lighters, remembering to purge first, of course.Double jets were fairly even right out of the package. Adjustable flames are easy to set with included tool. The tool is also very useful for purging.While lighter may seem bulky, it easily fits in a women’s cigarette case alongside a full pack. The bulkiness is actually useful in that the lighter is easier to hold particularly when wearing gloves.Overall a great lighter at a very reasonable price. As a cigar lighter, it should perform flawlessly. It is mediocre at best. Filled with premium lighter fluid and one of the 2 burners ignited. Fiddling with the difficult to use adjustment gets the 2nd burner to ignite, but as a soft blue flame rather than a jet. Reemptied and adjusted the gas flow 2 more times before it started acting right. However when I go to use it, sometimes it's a perfect dual jet, while others it's one jet and one soft.

Flames aren't as high as I like, but not bad. Almost returned this thing because it wouldn't light until I realized it had some air that needed to be bled out first. So I emptied what butane I had put in it, used a small screwdriver to bleed the butane and mix of air air - anything to depress valve where gas goes in should work - and refilled with butane and it worked fine. Before bleeding the air a flame would appear but then quickly disappear. I never had this with a lighter of this type, but read about doing it in regard to another lighter, tried it, and it worked.

I bought this as a Christmas present so I had to make sure it functioned right or I would never hear the end of it! I am very happy to say it actually exceeded my expectations. It lights the 1st time everytime and fits perfectly in a Zippo case. I did think about keeping it for a minute, but decided to just order another one.Oh....and the little adjustment tool it comes with is a super nice bonus

It's a good strong lighter but has a few problem for me. 1 the fuel chamber is not clear it's a white plastic so you cannot tell if it's full or not. 2nd is the dial to control the fuel only works at 1/2 or up so you cannot do a smaller flame just jet blast or jet blast.

It throws a lot of fire! Love that it's water proof and sealed. This lighter stays in a gear travel pack for emergencies when camping or exploring. It's refillable too.

I bought 2 of these, one I used briefly once a day (3 seconds) for 24 days.When that one failed to light because it was empty I tried the other one and it was empty as well.
