Can't say enough good things
Man I can't say enough about this little rocker. After I got my first one at a local store, I got on Amazon and bought 3 more at almost 1/2 the price of the retail unit I bought. One for my son and one for my brother and another for myself to just haul around with me. Great sound. The Bass is full and punchy but NOT overpowering and flabby like some much higher priced units. The charge lasts a long time. I take mine to the beach and listen to music or play songs and do some busking on my Cajone with it. 3 or 4 hours or more and it's still only on 3 bars. Sweet. Usually only have to charge it every couple of days if I am using it a lot. Plus the direct 1 1/4" Stereo in plug is a a nice feature that I use a lot for what I do to and with this unit. Oh yeah, and it looks good, and professional. And it is not too heavy but has enough weight that it doesn't feel cheap. It is well constructed and I have yet to damage mine. And I am rough on stuff. Just touching it to see how much charge is left is cool. No issues connecting multiple devices via bluetooth, but, obviously, just 1 at a time Can't say enough. Love it

Static Bluetooth
The Bluetooth is static no matter what device is used but the aux sounds fine. It’s a good speaker only if you use the aux.

Best bang for the buck
I purchased the Philips Fidelio after side-by-side comparison with the JBL Flip, Bose mini and several Sony and Soundfreaq models. The Philips has a truer, cleaner sound (more "fidelity") than the other options I sampled, save for the Bose, but the Bose is much more expensive. The Philips and the Bose are the only ones that faithfully render stringed instruments in classical, bluegrass or folk, as well as clean vocals in in opera or jazz. So far, I have been impressed with the battery life. I have used it about 2-3 hours total after a full charge and the battery indicator light is still showing 4 out of 4 bars (Side note: the battery light indicator is a cool feature. The lights are off most of the time, except for when you first turn it on, but if you pass your hand over the indicator lights, they light up telling you how much batter is left.). It's also easy to connect new devices. The only drawback is that it seems to only be able to support one connected device at a time, so if you want to switch from say your phone to your tablet or laptop, you need to disconnect the old device if it is still in Bluetooth range of the speaker. I plan to check the instruction manual to see if there is a way to keep more than one device connected at a time.

High hopes for this Fidelio, but performance problems made it pretty useless.
Phillips Fidelio has made quite a name for themselves on the headphone market, so I was hoping their portable speaker would preform well also. Not the case. I don’t even want to write a long review for this unit because of the host of issues it has. First off, I was unable to use the speaker right out of the box. It had to charge for a solid half hour before it would turn on. Secondly, it couldn’t maintain a stable Bluetooth connection with my Sony Xperia Z3 (running the lastest 5.0.2 factory Android). The speaker would consistently pause for a half second while listening to higher bitrate tracks (320kbps and up), even when my phone was right next to it. I have never seen this issue before, even with cheaper straight from China speakers. Also, the buttons on the Phillips are recessed enough that it can be hard to press them sometimes. The sound of the Phillips is another surprising point. I was expecting fidelity, and apparently to Phillips that means boost the treble until all the Bluetooth artifacts really pop. It isn’t always apparent, but on some treble heavy tracks and at high volume, this speaker was very hard to listen to. The bass was strong until about 75hz, and overall response at the low end was very good for a portable speaker. One last tiny quibble. WHAT IS THAT AWFUL NOISE? Oh right. I left the volume up. This thing has an incredibly loud noise/hum/hiss when the speaker’s volume is turned up. I laughed when I first heard it. Honestly I was amazed that they could produce an amplifier/Bluetooth receiver with such a high noise floor. At high volumes, the Phillips tinny highs really came through, making it only usable at below conversation volume levels. Vocals did sound good, and were nearing the warm tone that I like to hear, but the exaggerated highs really made this speaker hard to listen too. Also, the buttons rattle. Whoops. I didn’t test battery life because I could listen to it long enough to kill the battery. I can say that it takes a solid 3.5-4 hours to fully charge which I think is a little long. The battery lights do come on as soon as the speakers moved, which is nice because it immediately lets the user know how much charge is left. One positive mark to the Phillips there. So in short, buy this speaker if you don’t care about harsh treble response, and you definitely won’t be turning it up all the way. Really Phillips check out the competition. This is a highly competitive market, and you guys came to bat with something that may have passed back in 2011, but it falls way short today.

Better high end sound than low end
Better high end sound than low end. Excellent for "personal" use, not for completely filling a large room. Very good inputs and battery meter. Nice design that takes little table space. Well made.

Great Speaker for Small Price
This speaker has a lot of bang for its buck. It gets really loud, even outside. I had my roommates whining and shutting their doors during my testing period. I have played classical, rock, and dubstep and it handles all fairly well. The bass doesn't get really low, but it still sounds good. The rock music can get a little cloudy at high volumes, but there is still decent clarity. Realistically, all of the music sounds better on my surround sound BOSE speakers, but keep in mind that this thing fits in your purse, runs on battery, and has bluetooth capability. For all of those things, I give it a 5 star rating. Pros: LOUD, Wireless connection, Decent bass and clarity Cons: Gets cloudy at high volumes
