UT KiltsHose, Traditional Scottish Socks for Kilts, Ribbed Design, Pull Up To Cuff Over Your Hose Flashes

I'm from Scotland and these are too thin and short. Would get a refund and return these if I could but I need them for today.They fit around the foot fine but they're just not long enough. See the photo of my other ones. Which are already folded over. Granted those are a large as opposed to a medium. But they're still much much longer and thicker and also my other pairs that are medium are much longer as well for folding over at the right height.

The L is about 25% bigger than the M. I wear a size 11 and the foot of the M is perfect but the calf length is lacking a bit. The L would probably fit a size 14 foot, but the calf length is monsterous. I put the L's in the wash / hot dryer to shrink them down a bit an it made them a tad more tolerable, but I'd expect the heel to pop out behind the foot a bit especially in a low-cut brogue.

I ordered 3 pair. The first came with a hole in them. I returned them and the company replaced them quickly. I discovered the 2nd pair had holes and I decided to mend it myself. I ordered my size according to the descriptions, they fit but they slide down very easily and end up being 1980s leg warmers instead of stockings. I give them a 3 out of 10. After writing this review I edited because after the first was the blue pair I purchased started to LITERALLY fall apart.

These arrived for my "kilt " outfit. I had read the reviews about them running small, thin et cetera ..that was not my experience. They fit as expected, appear to be thick and durable , I haven't worn them for any extended amount of time. One thing I did notice was that the top cuff of both socks looks like unfinished weaving, quick flick with a lighter got those tag ends to lay down , there's still plenty of elastic in the top cuffs to hopefully keep them up. We shall see you.

I bought a black Utility Kilt from UT Kilts almost two weeks ago and was planning to get a tartan kilt with my clan's tartan as well so I started getting the accessories to wear with the tartan kilt for authenticity. I've been trying on more and more of the accessories with my utility kilt as they come in. I found that these hose (socks) are nice and thick, warm but not too warm as to be uncomfortable. They're the perfect length for my lower leg and look great with my tartan flashes under the turned down top fold.

Sure, you can pay a great deal more for super, high quality hose that are hand knitted by a firey, Scottish grandmother whilst she cooks a savory haggis and punches an Englishman in the face, but for the majority of part-time kilt wearers, these will do just fine. They are a little shorter than I had hoped they would be, especially once I fold them down, but they are comfortable and they stay up relatively well.

These are GIANT! I wear a 12, he wears a 10.5, we ordered 2 pair of the men’s 10-12. The sock heel, if pulled tight extends to my lower calf. When I placed the sock heel where it should properly sit, there’s WAY more sock than I can fit in my shoe, and that’s my size 12 foot. The event is days away, too late to return & replace. There’s also a stripe on the front where the dye didn’t set into the fabric. I’m surprised by the number of good reviews because these are ridiculous.

The kilt hose themselves are great, but when I order size 7-9, half the time the company sends me size S (fits as expected) and half the time they send size M (way too big). What makes it more confusing is that the product description says 7-9 is medium and 10-12 is large...there's no way this is true, as a medium is too big for my brother who wears size 10.5 shoes. I guess I'll just keep playing the return lottery till I get the last pair of size 7-9 (S?) that I want.As for the hose themselves, they're warm and comfy when you wear the right size, and they look great when folded down at the top. I'd definitely recommend the hose themselves, just not the seller. Due to my so-far three returns in order to get 6 pairs of fitting hose, I can't rightly leave more than 1 star.
