You could say I am a big fan of Zelite Infinity products. Each knife in their collection is a masterpiece, and a real pleasure to use in the kitchen. I have been anxiously awaiting new releases and I was pleased that the serrated knife was added to their collection. Out of the box, you will not find a finer serrated utility knife on the market in store or online. The knife is well honed and ready to do it’s job without additional sharpening. In fact, I have learned to treat Zelite knives with the utmost care because they are so sharp! The blade is superior in quality, made of Japanese Super Steel —66 layer carbon stainless steel with Damascus style patterns. The handle is full tang as with all their knives, and well balanced through out. I have to say this is my favorite Zelite Infinity knife simply because of it’s versatility. It is like a bread knife (I own their 8 inch bread knife), but shorter in length and much easier to handle. It feels great in my hands. In my video demonstration I use it to slice a small orange. The knife sliced through the orange smoothly, without squashing it and turning it into orange mash. Serrated utility knives are great for slicing not just hard crust bread but also rind fruit, melons, hard cheese like parmesan, tomatoes, and finely chopping nuts and chocolate. I can definitely see my self using this knife for doing the majority of prep work for my next wine and cheese social event. If you are looking for an excellent quality knife that is a compromise between a bread knife and a chef’s knife, this is the knife for you. 5 stars!

This 5.5 Inch Serrated Utility Knife (or fruit knife if you prefer) by Zelite Infinity hits all the best characteristics of a super league product. Where to start? The blade is ruthlessly sharp – and I mean, scalpel like sharpness. It slices everything I have put in front of it with utter ease. I especially enjoyed slicing wafer thin slices off a large beef eater tomato – it was kind of satisfying to see this blade perform. The blade itself is Japanese steel and is a combination of steels. The inner core is Japanese VG10 Super Steel which is clad with 33 layer per side of SUS410 High Carbon Stainless Steel. What does all of this mean? It means the blade can be sharpened to take an extremely sharp edge and maintain it over time, plus due to the outer layers of stainless steel it boasts stain and rust resistance. The handle is made from a black G10 military grade fibreglass which is known to be moisture, heat and impact resistant with fantastic wear properties. This is fastened to the solid full tang handle using 2 stainless steel rivets and an intricate multi metal master piece rivet. The shape of the handle is rounded and has a very comfortable feel to it. The knife is a full blade design meaning you can cut the entire length and it also comes with a very comfortable tapered bolster. I purchased a wooden magnetic wall mounted block for my kitchen to hang my knives on and must admit it looks rather awesome. The blade is polished and the black handle with the golden rivet just looks somewhat classy. The product came in a very nice magnetic flap gift box but there is no risk of me giving this away. Maybe I might purchase one for my mother from Christmas if she is lucky What a great product and an outstanding company to do business with

I have several knives from this brand's Alpha Royal Japanese series that I bought back in 2018 that I love, including the 8" and 5" serrated knives. The quality is high and they've been very dependable and they are gorgeous knives, too. Since the pandemic I've been baking my own bread (like many people) and the only times I've bought commercial bread was during our last move when I didn't have a kitchen in which to make it. Anyway, some of the loaves I make are larger than my 8" knife can easily handle, so I decided to buy the 10". It arrived yesterday and I gave it a try and the blade is nice and sharp and the knife is comfortable to hold. It cut the bread well and accurately. The only thing I honestly don't like about this knife is the huge logo embedded into the handle on both sides. I think that detracts a lot from the attractiveness of the knife. I do prefer Alpha Royal style a lot more, so I deducted a star for the attractiveness of the knife. Function and value for the price I think is good here, so if the huge honking brand in the handle isn't a deal breaker for you, I think this knife is a good value.

I’m very disappointed. The Damascus pattern is printed, there are no layers in the steel itself. I will return this knife.

I did the research as I wanted high quality Japanese blade, stainless steel kitchen knives that will last and I read all the reviews (it's very reassuring that chefs use these knives) and bit the bullet in buying this 5.5" utility knife along with the straight blade 6" chef knife and both are fabulous. I wanted a good all-rounder for prepping veggies for roast dinners, cutting up fruit and everything else. The packaging is amazing quality as well as the product and a good way to store the knife when not in use, although I've bought a sheath for them (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005P0OSVM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) as it is incredibly sharp out of the box and safety first! The utility is a beautiful looking knife with the damascus finish, finely balanced and so comfortable in the hand it's very easy to cut food, no real chopping needed as a little pressure on the blade and it cuts like butter, so easy and enjoyable food prep. I don't mind paying more for quality as I will look after these beauties and hopefully they will last a lifetime. I'm already saving for the santoku and kiritsuke knives to add to my collection. Additionally, the website is very informative on maintainance of the knives and I have also bought a ceramic honing rod and 1000/6000 whetstone. Very highly recommended and beautiful looking. As soon as we opened the parcel, we knew this was quality. The packaging, sign writing on the box etc all looked highly professional and as if someone cared about what they were providing. The knife itself is excellent, it's heavy and good quality and cuts extremely well. Very happy with it.
