Very Nice Rack
This is a very nice rack for the money. It is solid and seems to be made of reasonably strong materials. There are a couple of things I did to ensure this rack will be sturdy for the foreseeable future. 1. There are several small wood dowels used to hold the rack together when you assemble it. I used wood glue on the dowels as an extra measure to ensure the joints remain solid. 2. I used a much sturdier anchor when mounting the rack to my wall than the anchors that came with the kit. If you cannot mount to at least one stud, I recommend purchasing a more highly rated wall anchoring system. I used one that is rated to 175 pounds. This may be a bit of overkill, but ensures that the rack is solidly mounted to the wall. It is a very nice looking rack. Our pool table is located in our front room, so was important to have a wall rack that has a quality appearance.

Cheap and easy billiards storage system. Looks great mounted.
I have to admit, I really like this little accessory. It looks much better on the wall than I anticipated. The system is fairly easy to assemble. It came with a single page of assembly instructions, but the instructions weren't the easiest to read. However the system is so simple to put together, even without instructions I would have figured it out via trial and error. Everything shipped in a surprisingly small and lightweight package but everything you needed was in there except a Phillips head screwdriver that you'll need to do the assembly. The storage unit consisted of 7 pieces. 2 side pieces, 3 center "shelves" for the balls, a mounting rack, and a peg that inserts into the mounting rack for hanging your triangle rack. All the hardware comes organized in a small plastic bag with the instructions folded up inside of it. The system had two hanging mounts pre-installed on the mounting rack. My first complaint with this system is that the hanging mounts were positioned too closely on the mounting rack. If you intend to use your wall studs to support the weight of the storage rack you will have to disassemble the hanging mounts and reposition them further apart to align with the distance of your wall studs. Not a big deal, but something the manufacturer should have taken into consideration if they're going to pre-install any of the hardware. The system is designed to hang from the wall using the two hanging mounts. The system is so light weight on its own that I don't think it'd be a problem hanging from the drywall, But once you include the balls and sticks i fear the system would do damage to the wall. So I recommend spacing the hanging mounts so that you use the studs and also installing the bracing brackets on the bottom shelf so that they support some of the weight from the bottom. All in all it took less than 15 minutes for me to open, inventory, assemble, and mount the system. I did use a power drill but it could totally be done with a hand screwdriver as well. I will caution though. If you use a power drill, be very gentle. The wood is very cheap and soft. While repositioning the hanging mounts, I actually drilled the screws a little too deeply into the mounting rack. It didn't cause too much damage but the wood is extremely soft. Before you hang it, I advise you do some measurements along your wall. Figure out how high you want your pool cues to sit once they're positioned in the storage racks. I've seen a few reviews where people have mounted the system too high and their cues won't fit because they're hitting the ceiling. I suggest positioning the bottom rack roughly 18 to 24 inches from the floor. All in all the system is compact, lightweight, and easy to assemble. When I opened the package I thought it looked very cheap, but once it's assembled and mounted, it actually looks really nice hung on the wall. Overall I give it 4 out of 5 stars. I'm only docking it 1 star because of the cheap quality of materials and the additional assembly work that you have to do because of where the manufacturer pre-positioned some of the hardware.

Great pool cue rack for the price, not top quality, but a little modification makes it a great buy
So this rack is very cheap compared to any other one out there that I could find and, given some of the reviews I saw, I knew I might have to do a little work on it. I am perfectly fine with modifying things as I have the tools and skill (albeit limited). I should start with saying that I think the manufacturer fixed some of the issues others were having, I didn't see any dents or dings, and it came with bottom mount brackets as well as the ones on the top. I bought the black one and I did put a little chip in it, but a permanent marker fixed it right up. Otherwise, it's exactly what I would have expected to get and could have installed it without any issue using drywall anchors. All the pieces had pre-drilled holes and fit together as you would expect. There were instructions, but they were unnecessary. I prefer to hit the studs for things like this, especially since it's wider than 16", so I modified mine. I took off the two top brackets (which are basically just picture frame holders, see the pictures) and moved them out to 16" apart so I could hit two studs, and I also dropped them down to hide them behind the wood. It doesn't sit flush against the wall, but you cannot tell when it is hung up. I pre-drilled a small hole to avoid splitting (which other reviews discussed as an issue), so I didn't have to worry about it. I took some pictures, so hopefully it helps. The cue rests at the bottom are pretty poor quality, but I think this unit should get a little more credit than it was given based on the other reviews, so I went with 5 stars.

Very happy with this product. Solid build that works well and does what it promises. Looks great on the wall in the pool room.

Bought this as didn't want too many holes in the wall and needed to give cues a safe storage home to avoid warping caused by leaning in a corner! The unit shipped from the USA and had a small amount of self assembly. The cost included shipping and all taxes so proved to be good value. It holds cues, balls and frame (if required). Very pleased.

I'm not entirely sure why others were complaining about stability because this thing will not come off the wall anytime soon. The only thing I used differently were better drywall anchors (and screws for them) but otherwise I think it's well built and looks awesome! Just follow the instructions carefully and make sure everything is tight and level before wall mounting :)

The rack is of a nice quality, it was easy to assemble it, and delivery was fast. It doesn’t take a lot of space and more convenient than the racks with holes in the top railing. This one has plastic clips so if you have lower ceilings like in basement you don’t need to install it to low to fit billiard cues.
