Good quality
Looks like a high quality filter and price point seems good for the build quality. It's meant for screening out larger debris, not sand / dirt. If you're using drip irrigation, you'll want to supplement with a finer mesh filter on the pump / pressure side. Irrigation King has some nice disc filters for this purpose.

Water intake screens for waterfall project
Purchased 2 of these for a waterfall pump system to be used as a water intake screens for each pump. They worked out perfectly for the project. Quality was excellent as was flow rate. I Build cradles for them to set off the bottom so as to draw in clean water and there set at 12’ deep within the pond.

Sturdy
Well built from standard size PVC fittings with stamped steel round hole screen. I was able to get fittings from a big box store to adapt the outlet down to the size my system uses. I also added a wrap of common door screen held in place with zip ties around the outside to get more filtering. Good value.

Works Great!
Arrived quickly and works great. I mounted this on a PVC stand to support it 12" from the bottom of the lake and it is feeding a 2HP pump. My old strainer was constantly restricting flow and was a general PITA. This one is awesome and not only seems to flow great, but it also filters the lake water really well. My flow has increased so much that I can now combine several of my zones while maintaining good pressure. No complaints and works great!

NOT for irrigation
The product has screen holes that are much too large to be used for irrigation. The fine nozzle heads of most sprinkler systems would clog in an instant if 1/8" particles were allowed into the system. I had to wrap the unit with regular insect screen, and the 4" female end should have come with some sort of reducer. By the time I revised everything I could have built one from scratch for half the price.

Better than anything I've even seen it tried before
Fantastic. Using on a 7.5hp pump from a lake for drip irrigation on a 60 acre tree nursery. 3 years old and going strong. No degradation, no flow restriction. 1000 times better than any prefilter we've ever used. I am go grateful for having found this product.
