These work as intended. They will keep your brown sugar soft but will also soften it if it has gotten hard. They are easy to use and are made of a quality durable clay like material. I would purchase again. A good value for the money.

Wow, these brown sugar softener disc really work! I'm actually shocked. I buy brown sugar from Costco in 7.5 lb. bags but the problem is, I can't use it up fast enough and I still have half the bag left. When I got it out to do some Thanksgiving baking, it was one solid rock of brown sugar. I had to chip it off with an icepick. LOL. So I just ran across these discs on Amazon and thought I might as well give it a try. I received them yesterday afternoon, followed the instructions on the package and soaked them in water for 20 minutes. I pounded the brown sugar to break it up so that I could slip the discs down into it. This morning, when I checked the sugar, the entire thing was as soft as if it was a new package! I really am blown away. I thought this was going to be yet another product that didn't deliver, but I was so wrong.

They work pretty good. Happy to find something to keep my brown sugar soft. However can still get a bit hard after months.

These are GREAT! They brought back my rock hard brown sugar. AMAZING and cute.

I used them exactly as directed. Even processing them on separate days. I put one in my brown sugar, and the other one in my white sugar. After months of not baking, I invited my grandson to help make cookies, only to find that both the brown & white sugars had hard lumps. The brown was the worse. Those lumps were so hard that we needed to pick thru & remove the lumps, because they won't break apart. The white sugar wasn't as bad. I'm not sure why but the sugar was packed solid on each disc.
