Price is great and the ride is perfect!
The people that have said they had issues more than likely didn't read or purchase the correct part. I am so picky on parts and quality. If you need to replace just one strut do both. The new strut is slightly higher by about 1”. That is simply because its new. This is why you replace both. Plus the ride these give you is super smooth yet you still feel the road. This was my first time doing struts and it took me 45 mins to an hour at the most per side. It is super easy. Unbolt the 3 nuts on the top. Remove the two bolts on bottom and use a pry bar to remove the bottom of the strut. It will fall out and fall down outta the trunk area. Remove and insert new strut the same way as the old one came out. Its super easy. Tighten well but not too tight. The nuts are kinda cheap and will strip. I personally used the old original nuts on the new strut. It worked great. I did use their two included bolts for the bottom where you connect the bottom of the strut. However I have to agree with others that the included bolts are cheap. That said, the top three threaded studs are strong so use the oem nuts. The studs won’t strip. You buy these because the price is great and the ride is perfect. Purchase 4 replacement bolts that are a real grade 8 for the bottom mounting bolts if you want stronger mounting. I cannot stress enough that other then cheap hardware that is $5-$8 bucks to upgrade if you want too do that for piece of mind, these struts will raise your vehicle about 3/4” to 1”. I am super picky and big time ocd lol and I promise you these are a great value. Because I delayed replacing the strut for a few weeks my motor mount broke and I had 1 bolt break on the sway bar bushing hold down clamp. So don’t be dumb like me. lol. Replace them asap. It will save you money, I promise you this! Price is right, quality is fine and these are easy to install. I do have a 1/2”Milwaukee impact gun so that did help me but if you have some sockets you can do these in your driveway. It’s easy! **These struts are not for the level ride model. There are videos on YouTube that show you how to use these on a level ride system and use a wire to bypass the check engine light for that system.

Best OEM match
Love Detroit Axle for my brakes and suspension. Great quality and price and always exact OEM fit. Installed these struts along with new shocks and sway bar links recently on my Acura ILX and brought back the quiet, soft ride at a very decent price.

Bad customer service after getting defective Struts
I ordered two struts for 2010 Buick Lacrosse, entered license plate to confirm fit. 3 weeks after receiving them I installed them. I noticed the struts didn't come flush with Strut mount. I contacted Detroit axle by phone, and they said that it was common, and not to worry about it. I drove to SC and the struts began to make a lot of noise. I wrote amazon seller. I didn't see there was a responded back until a month or so later. So, I called Detroit axle again regarding the struts and this time they requested a photo of the strut not making contact with the strut mount. This time Detroit axle agreed they didn't look right and said they would honor the warranty, but I would have to pay $72 for shipping when the struts cost $162. Why do I have to pay shipping for a strut I complained about after install and was told it was common for the strut not being flush. Then weeks later both struts break and began make clanking sounds. As you can see in the photo these struts are not the right struts, or they are defective, or the wrong strut was put in the wrong box. I have purchased a lot of stuff from Detroit axle, and this is the first time I made a complaint to them and the first time I asked for a warranty to be honored by them. Why isn't their warranty detailed on the amazon page since there is a 10-year warranty on these struts detailing I will have to pay a huge shipping fee for them selling me a defective or wrong strut.

Great once installed, bolt alignment issues. Customer service lacks
I purchased these for my 2018 Yukon Denali. Once installed, the ride quality improved significantly and honestly feels very close to OEM. No complaints there. However, I’m giving 4 stars strictly because of the alignment issue out of the box. The lower mounting alignment was noticeably off. It wasn’t even close. I had to use a small ratchet strap with a thin hook to pull the assembly into position just to get the bolt started. That should not be necessary on a direct-fit replacement part. If you’re installing these, be prepared. Make sure you have a strap ready. Get one bolt started first, then use the strap to pull the strut into alignment so you can get the second bolt in. I’ve attached pictures comparing the original struts to the new Detroit Axle units so you can see the difference. Customer service is lacking. There wasn’t much support or guidance when addressing the alignment concern. For a company selling suspension components, that’s disappointing. That said, once installed properly, they perform great. Just be ready for extra work during installation.

They fit nice. Work good truck has its factory stance and way better ride than my old worn out shocks. The hardware for the top 3 nuts they supplied in my opinion are not big enough. The shoulder on the nuts is not wide enough. The factory ones do thread on and are a lot larger so I reused the factory top three nuts. The bottom bolts and nuts work fine though. Good thing because I ended up having to cut mine off due to rust.
