Can't blow a whistle with a mask on. I guess you could, but it would be uncomfortable and inconvenient. This electronic whistle is rechargeable, which makes it much better than one with replaceable batteries (my opinion, obviously). It's loud enough to be effective, but maybe a tad bit less than my Fox40 at full blast. The other thing I like, something I didn't anticipate, is that it's actually faster to call infractions. So you have to be careful not to step on a game too quickly in case, for example, there's advantage and a call would unnecessarily disrupt a game. Not having to constantly bring a whistle to my mouth actually feels really good so I may keep using this as the masks slowly disappear and rules relax (fingers crossed). Quality is more than acceptable. This model also has three selectable trills and varying loudness settings, so it has some options you can play with. The light is cute but almost useless. Anyway, as electronic whistles go, this model seems to have the best mix of features. Plus, it's rechargeable and a charge lasts me many weekends. It hasn't failed me so far (I've used it off and on for 4 months). If you need one this model is worthy of your consideration.

The electronic whistle was great just coming out of the box. It have enough of a charge to test it out before I fully charged it. Charging is the easiest of all the electronic whistles I reviewed; just plug the supplied charging cord into a USB port and the whistle and let it charge. Could not be easier. Took it to my swim chapter meeting to demonstrate it and they loved it. I can see more purchases in the future. It is very affordable compared with similar products. The really greatest feature is the user does not have to deal with replacing batteries, as there is nothing to replace. Most officials leave it plugged into there car USB port and let it charge there. It's in the car, so you can't forget it when you go to a meet. Comes with a carry pouch and a lasso so can put it around you neck or wrist. An official actually put his on a lanyard connected to his belt loop, so you use it and let it dangle from you belt loop. If you don't have a USB connection port to charge it up, a separate AC to USB charger can be purchased at a very reasonable price. Can't go wrong with this pick.

I ref U9 - u19 soccer and this is very good and loud. Not sure what the light would be used for but the various tones are nice to be different from nearby fields and easy to use. I like that it is easy to recharge the battery and I have those spares for some of my flashlights Edit- 4/25/21, this is a great whistle, I have done about ten games so far and it is very loud. Taking off one star due to yesterday I did a game in light rain and after half time it stopped working. The description does clearly state it is not waterproof. But since this is supposed to be used out doors and soccer is played in the rain, I hoped it would at least be light rain proof. It makes a barely audible squeak now. Light comes on, battery charges to 4.2 volts, on a 3.7 volt battery. It is just the speaker does not make a sound. Not sure if I got water in the speaker hole, or through one of the buttons, or where. I was wearing a rain jacket so it was mostly covered by the sleeve and only light rain for about 25 minutes. Reminds me to always carry a backup whistle just in case. But harder to use a real whistle and wear a mask as required by facility.

get asked about this item all the time. Before I started using it, most people had never even seen one. This whistle is the best - it is loud, I can change the sounds and volume, and I never have to worry about cleaning it since it is button-operated. The kids I coach always want to try it, and it’s a great icebreaker with the younger ones. Everyone wants to hold it!

So, both of the whistles I received operate exactly the same. They are VERY loud - ear piercing, really. However, while they are advertised as having 3 selectable tones (and the selector switch does have 3 positions), 2 of the tones sound the same. (I was not the only one to comment on this in my class.) Also, while there is a “volume control” (again, a 3-position selectable switch), there is no perceivable difference in volume between the settings - either indoor or outdoor.) However, they still get the job done.

Could have volume control

The product is of very poor quality and cannot be used after just one charge. The tone and sound changed immediately after use. I would like to request a return. However, after the purchase, I shifted from Kozhikode to Hyderabad, where return service is not available. Kindly arrange a replacement with a better product here.
