Having taken all kinds of supplements for the last 36 years of my life, I rate this one as an excellent product. In spite of taking numerous supplements already for years, I still felt that something was missing. Once I started on Nature's Way Alive Liquid Multi, I experienced an unexpected result: I started feeling much more clear-minded, much sharper, as if my brain had been woken up. And it was NOT in a stimulating kind of way like for example caffeine would do. It was a mental sharpness in a calm kind of way, it is hard to explain. Another unexpected effect was that my skin started looking much smoother. Of course, with this many ingredients, I have no idea which ones are causing the noticeable benefits, but in the end all that matters is that I can actually feel a big difference. I also noticed that I wake up in the morning without that tired "dragging myself out of bed" feeling that had haunted me for years. This may be one of the most noticeable effects for me: The fact that I can now get out of bed easily and feel rested and alert, without having to gulp down my coffee first. I put the 1 OZ. of liquid and measure it in a small glass shot-glass that has measurements markings on it, so that I know exactly how much I pour. I then drink it quickly straight out of the shot-glass and I must say, the taste does not bother me at all. I had tasted that kind of "background" or "base" taste before in a L-Carnitine liquid supplement that I was taking. Somewhat "citrusy". One quick swig and it is gone down. It is a strong taste, but like other posters have said: "We should not expect the syrupy taste of a "children's supplement," it is meant for adults. Again, I can't say that I am bothered by the taste. It is definitely NOT nasty in my opinion. It just tastes.....potent. Even if it WOULD have tasted like dirt, I still would have taken it, based on the way it makes me feel: More balanced physically, as well as mentally. I tried skipping a week or 2 to see if it made a difference and it sure did. So I am back on it and intent to keep purchasing it for as long as it is made. I purchased 2 "back-up bottler" in the meantime. At first I was not expecting to feel any difference from taking this supplement, thinking it was just another product of many......but I was very pleasantly surprised. This is a keeper for me!!!

tastes good, a bit tart, but not mediciney

Would give it a 5, will explain later. From searching other health shakes, this one is the best I have found online (has the most and highest percentage of vitamins), and the price is a little better also. I hardly ever skip this product during my supplement routine, because it covers sooo many vitamins. I have been taking this for years (even when it was in a powdered form) and yes, the urine will get a little darker to let you know the vitamins are really in there and working. Don't be too concerned with all the negatives about the taste. I put it with my collogen shake and does not taste bad at all. If you are 100% sensitive to vegetable shakes-like a kid-ok, but after taking vitamin-vegetable for years, I don't understand the 'bad taste' comments. There are terrible tasting vitamins and shakes, this is NOT one of them. Con, kinda makes me made. The comment about filling up a cap full and guessing the correct dosage is true. Should state on the cap the amount. Also, when you put the cap on...tightly, it still always drips down the side of the bottle to your fridge, and leaves a solid green stain in the fridge. We all know, that if you're complaining about this, hundreds of others have complained about this also. I have called to company to fix this-deaf ears. I do not want to take this product for decades and have to always clean my fridge, my hands when grabbing it. Like soo many other companies, kinda shamefull to have and easy fix and not be willing to listen to your customers to fix and important simple problem.

Great product with good taste and great price

I've added this to my daily (although I've missed a couple days here and there) routine for about two months now and I just reordered my second bottle. I'm not exactly taking a full dose, just because I'm also taking other supplements and need to be careful not to consume to much of certain vitamins that are in both. I take my others in the morning and take this in the evening when I eat dinner. The flavor is not my absolute favorite, but it's not awful. If you'd have told 6 year old me, I'd willingly take liquid medicine daily I would've laughed in your face! I used to puke as a kid trying to take liquid meds, haha, this doesn't make me gag. I take it like a shot and chase it with water. I started taking it because I'm currently on a weightloss journey and because of that, my appetite has greatly decreased and I was worried I wasn't getting the micronutrients I needed from my diet. The alternatives available on the market like Grunns gummies are so expensive. This was much more cost effective. I've definitely seen the benefits of taking it. My hair seems to be healthier (it was thinning due to selenium deficiency/underactive thyroid so I think this is helping with that as it has selenium and my weight loss), I broke through a plateau, and the ridges in my nails have gone away. My nails also seem to be stronger and are growing faster; it was the longest they've ever gone without breaking. They got annoyingly long and I had to trim them, haha...normally one breaks before that happens.

Take only if you're not on other vitamin supplements. You will lose weight.

I have difficulty swallowing pills, especially all the multivitamins that I have tried on the market which seem to be made in only one size: ‘Horse Pill’. Cutting them in half gives you two jagged pills to get stuck in your throat & quartering them makes them crumble to dust. A coworker recently told me about the Alive! brand and how much she liked it, and I was initially pleasantly surprised to find this liquid vitamin. I am an adult, read all the great reviews, and was not expecting some sweet candy like ambrosia essence in a bottle. I was expecting a not-so-great tasting FRUIT and VEGATABLE based liquid vitamin that I could add to my daily glass of cranberry juice and tolerate it. What is made very unnoticeable and hidden with fancy language (and which all of the reviews, which were about 25, that I read failed to mention) is that the main ‘green food’ is Spirulina AKA ‘POND SCUM’. I know a lot of people are jumping on this Spirulina/Pond Scum band wagon, but I am NOT one of them. After refrigerating the bottle overnight, shaking vigorously, and then pouring out a capful, what oozed out was a sickly green swamp snot mixture, that smelt as tasty as it looked. After frantically checking the expiration date and finding that it was nowhere near, I found the hidden ‘green food/spirulina’ on the ingredient list. I thought if I did put a shot in with my cranberry juice it would help dilute and mask the putrid stench and flavor, but all I got was an even darker, scummier green glass of juice. I shut my eyes, held my nose and tried a swig and it wasn’t that bad, reminiscent of chewable Flintstone vitamins I took as a child, so I choked the glass down with my breakfast. The results: The entire day I was plagued with a vomit aftertaste, horrible acid reflux, neon green/yellow urine, and diarrhea. My advice: DO NOT BUY THIS! If you have trouble swallowing pills, get the gummy vitamins. I am trying those next, and wish I had got them in the first place even though I am not fond of sweets and cannot stand gummy candies, but at least gummy candies are better than pond scum!

The Alive Women's Energy vitamins are enormous and I choke on them even if they are cut in half.... I take so many other pill form vitamins/supplements/meds each day (around 15) that I thought liquid would be a nice change, why not see how that is. I'm almost through this bottle. I waited a while so I could give it a fair review. So the pros, more quickly absorbed. I have not yet found a daily vitamin in any form that includes a more diverse array of vitamins, minerals, etc. I like that it's food based and find that it is easier on my stomach. I am severely gluten intolerant and have not found that it causes me any issues (this product is tested and contains less than 20ppm of gluten, for anyone curious). My hair and nails all of a sudden (for the first time in a long time) look amazing. My skin is clearer. I do fee like I have a little bit more energy. This is primarily where the 3 stars in my rating came from, because I am seeing some positive effects. It actually is prob worth the 5 stars, but, the taste... Ugh. -2 stars. While I was not expecting it to taste amazing, I do not think I was prepared for how horrible it really is. When I opened the bottle and saw it, curiosity got the best of me and I felt the need to smell it. And I instantly regretted it. lol Not only that, but somehow still I was so excited to try it that I took a shot of it warm. Please for the love of all things good, DO NOT DO THIS. lol Make sure it is icy cold and do not ever smell it. The smell alone still makes me gag. The thought of the smell even makes me gag. I still have to hold my breath before I even bring the shot glass to my lips. As the days pass and I get further and further into the bottle, it takes more and more mental preparation/gumption to down the shot of it each time. I actually may dread it on some level. Chasing it with juice is the only way I can make it work at this point (cranberry is best because it really does help to rinse the taste out of your mouth). So you have to understand, while I am a hair dramatic at times, i'm no sissy to gross tasting things. I've undergone many diet adjustments over the years due to intolerances, sensitivities, other food allergies in our household... I can certainly eat the most bland, flavorless, or downright terrible tasting (according to my husband) things. Knowing something is "good" for me is usually enough for me to stomach it. This, though, crosses some sort of safe zone in my head and i'm not sure how much longer I can do it. lol I'm really going to have to weigh all of my other options before repurchasing becomes a reality.
