retro fit for WR7X138 start relay
Had an old (41 years) but good Hotpoint side by side fridge, compressor would not run,start relay original equipment WR7X138 was toasted contact wise, but I am too cheap to throw an entireotherwise good piece of hardware away without a fight. You need to be a little handy to execute the fix.This unit almost works as it, I had to remove all but 22 turns on the coil otherwise it would not release from the startsequence, need to jumper the two screw terminals, red wire to common, relay mated with the compressor M and S pins (upside down, look at the fine print on relay).this unit appears well made and should last until this fridge is ready for medicare
