What is the difference between new style and classic style? Is it just the appearance ?

The biggest difference is the appearance. The classic model has more light area; The new version supports color cycling. The rest of the features are almost identical

I have bought 2 of these, can I pair/sync them to change the colour on both to match?

Within HomeKit you can set them up as a group. I don’t use any other smart home system so it could be different on Alexa/Google.
