How do these even work, when I put ink cartridge in pen, there is nothing to puncture it so ink comes out! So I guess mine came broken. There is no instructions included, How about a video! I really am disappointed!!!

After ten minutes and two nibs, not a drop of ink has flowed down the nib to produce even a splot of color on the page. Would be nice if there were like instructions because the obvious is not working. Not even certain that the cartridge has been fully punctured by the tiny little nub of a punch to let the ink in. Sigh. I was really looking forward to this ... If I hadn't altered the box to make a more functional holder for the nibs and pen, I'd return it. Edit: OK, finally managed to get the cartridge punched but it took pushing down on a hard surface to get the final click to happen. The ink is nice quality for writing ... I don't do illustrations. So I've taken to 4 stars from my initial 2. Can't figure out how to do 3.5. The assembled pen is comfortable even for my old hands. Over all, not regretting the purchase.

Previous cartridge pens would dry and clog up. Not had that problem at all with this one. Grip is very comfortable so hand doesn’t get fatigued.

When I was in grammar school, I took penmanship, and we had to have a fountain pen, so I know how to load a fountain pen, but this is impossible to get any ink out of. I have to actually pierce it with a pair of tiny sharp scissors to get a hole in it and then so far no ink has come out And the cartridges are very small about half the size of a regular and cartridge. I wanted to get this sent because of the calligraphy points that were interchangeable. There’s nothing like riding with a really good fountain pen but I have yet to see how this rides I just wanna caution anybody who wants something easy to wold and to use this is not the pen for you And Parker are used to make a really nice fountain pen, calligraphy fountain pens that have interchangeable heads but I can’t find anything like that anymore so I’m hoping this will change that does come with a bladder to load ink into so I did order some ink so that I can load the bladder so maybe that will improve it but again if you want something easy, this is not the pen for you which is too bad because it is a rather nice pen. Lightweight has the interchangeable heads, so maybe if you have a lot of patience you can use it and but I wouldn’t say this is for beginners.

Using it to address wedding invitations

Originally had a 40+ year old Schaeffer Calligraphy Pen which I needed to replace. Thought I would try this pen for the money and for the comfort feature. Definitely not what I expected. Cartridges were very difficult to assemble and leaked. Would not recommend. I guess you get what you pay for.
