I took a chance on this one. We had a white dishwasher, and we got a new refrigerator and oven that are now stainless steel. The dishwasher works great, and is pretty new, so I did not want to waste money on replacing. I tried this stainless steel dishwasher sticker, and it looks great. Lots of money saved!Note - it is a really good idea to remove the panel from the dishwasher, and then apply the sticker. My front panel came off with (4) phillips screws. I applied the sticker and smoothed it out with the included spreader. The piece was the right size, plus a little, which was good. I applied for the front, and rounded the corners to cover the sides. When I screwed the piece back onto my dishwasher, it looked GREAT.I was/am very impressed. Thank you - definately worth the money!

I bought this to update appliances and it did exactly that!. It was easy to install. The key is to spray on the water with a spray bottle and then use the padded scraper to remove any air bubbles. I applied it like 3 months ago and it is still stuck. My oven has a window that I covered and the stainless steel doesn't get hot at all. I would definitely recommend.

We just wanted to try it on a dishwasher door. The cleaner used the wrong cleaner and it looked awful. Hated to buy a new one since it was cosmetic. We followed the directions and we did take off the door to the dishwasher which we recommend. So much easier. We were pleasantly surprised that it looks like new. It was kind of a win win cause if it didn’t work, you can return. Give it a try. Measure carefully and be sure to follow all directions..

This product worked well. We had some discoloration on a dishwasher, ugly but the dishwasher is only 3yo and cleans dishes remarkably well. The model has been discontinued and we couldn't find a replacement part anywhere. So we decided to try this.The videos available online all show people using this on simple flat surfaces. Our dishwasher had a small, round GE emblem on the bottom and a large curved hand hold at the top. We went over the GE emblem and cut around it afterwards. After doing that, next time I would try to remove the GE emblem first and either not replace it or replace it on top of the film. The hand hold we couldn't figure out and just cut around it following the arc. Not perfect but better than it was. I would appreciate some videos of our type of installation as not everyone has a perfectly flat surface.After receiving the item, we unrolled it and weighted it down with books for a couple of hours and it was fairly flat and easy to work with. The film was a decent thickness, I was not overly concerned about it ripping. It was VERY adhesive but we did manage to remove it and replace it once (partially) and it worked okay. The "grain" of the stainless steel pattern was sideways, which matches the grain of my other appliances. (I've read reviews that some people have problems with the direction of the grain from some manufacturers) It was easy to cut, easy to wrap around the corners. VERY easy to smooth. We did the dry method and just used the included felt scraper to smooth it. I read that you could use a blow dryer, but that wasn't necessary for us.

Works good but needed a little bigger

This is the worst product EVER! Save your money up and treat yourself to the real deal if you really want stainless steel (no rhyme intended). Thankfully I started with the dishwasher. My plan was to do my refrigerator as well but I wanted to start small. Yes, I watched and rewatched the installation video and read instruction sheet and read both good and bad reviews. I am very skilled at DIY projects and an engineer by profession. I offer that not to brag but to let you know my background and detail orientedness. There is minus zero room for error with this. Once it comes in contact with a surface the gig is up if you are even a just a teeney tiny little off (think millimeters not inches). The air bubbles are REAL! Folks they are impossible to “squeezee” out and impossible to avoid if you have to do any replacement or resetting of the paper. I guess it makes since when you think about it; if you have to relift the product and place it back down, you’ve just introduced air into the system. However, since this is the normal and only application of this product, you’d expect the design and materials to account for that. This is just expensive shelf paper with gorilla tape (on steroids!) backing!! If you accidentally bend this product in any way you’re left with wrinkles - which DO NOT come out. Think of trying to achieve the tightness military bed with an unfitted bed sheet on a mattress. The couple of areas that did work out looked cheap. I trashed the stuff and fell back in love with my black appliances! I was sent the incorrect product initially and getting the right thing finally (after 27 days) was equally as frustrating. I won’t go on and on about this as they tried to make it right with the delivery and even sent a free little squeezee and roll of faux marble paper (that I have entirely no use for). I really wanted to like this stuff, but it’s a dreadful product. I hope Amber reads and refunds at least half my money.

There are really no instructions for installation. They give you a youtube link on a sheet of paper and the video is of a girl that is just going on and on about how great the product is rather than giving you a full rundown on how to install properly. I'm pretty handy and couldn't find my spray bottle of water, the minimal instructions said dry or wet application would work. I went with the dry installation and it did not work. I have 10ish bubbles on the front that are not disappearing (also a claim made on the instructions). If you decide to pop those bubbles with a small pin you will easily see the hole you left because the material is so thick.

We use this product to cover a dishwasher we loved, so that it would match our other black and stainless steel appliances. It was so easy to install and delivery was quick, you can’t even tell that it isn’t stainless steel for real.
