No, it does not come with a mattress. It does however come with the fitted mattress sheet.

Will this fit a 6in thick mattress?

No. It's on a 4 inch mattress a d it's tight.

Why did I only received the quilt, even though the package it is in says “4 pc set”

I don't know! Contact the seller and ask for a refund or replace the items with the correct ones.
