After reading everywhere about the benefits of prickly pear oil, I really wanted to try it. For over a year, I have gone completely natural, using only pure, natural oils for my skin moisturizer. Everything I have used, has been good, but I HAD to hop on this prickly pear train! This oil is soooooooo soft and soothing! I do not have any before or after photos, but I can tell you that my family and friends have recently commented how good (and as one said, "velvety") my facial skin looks. It feels so soft and light going on, and once I apply a touch of powdered blush, and a bit of mascara, the glow and even-tone this oil gives to my skin, I almost look fully made up as if I had used foundation. This has a very light aroma, that reminds me of a sort of cherry-vanilla scent (Think your grandma's old timey Jergens lotion!) however, I only smell the scent at initial application, and then it totally disappears. I SWEAR this oil has made a difference in the fine lines around my eyes and mouth, and it just feels magical and warming as it goes on. I'm a customer for life! **Note** I kept getting infomercials for another brand of natural facial "balm" that was about the size of a half dollar for $180.00...The reviews were insane, and people swore it was worth the price..Because of the main ingredient...PRICKLY PEAR OIL!! That expensive balm had 15 or 20 more other oils in it, yet the whole ad was about the AMAZING benefits of the prickly pear oil...Why spend a fortune on something that only uses PP oil as ONE of the ingredients??? Spend 30 bucks and get this magical stuff that is PURE PP oil through and through! I never want to be without this magic elixir!!!!!

Since I have not used this kind of oil before, I have nothing to compare this particular brand oil to another, I can only say it seems to work well for me. I've read the prickly pear oil/products is all the rage these days and, being mid-sixties, I thought why not? I have a combination skin, some enlarged pores, and wear very minimal makeup. Never been a fan of caking on a bunch of products to fake a perfect complexion. This oil seems quite, well, oily so, at first I only used it before bedtime. I appreciate the moisturizing effects, so now I use it in the morning as well, just dial down the amount to 2 - 3 drops only. Quick rub in the hands, and gently pat into the freshly washed face. I give it a minute, then do my eyebrows, and am good to go. People at work have already told me my face has gotten "younger" so i take it as a proof the oil is working. This oil is nearly colorless and has no "oily" smell, which is great as I dislike smelly skincare. I like the generous size of the bottle as well as the reasonable price point. Most likely will repurchase as needed.

My aging skin is loving this new to me oil by Baja Basics. I’m 49 and my skin has gotten drier as I have aged but using this oil my skin is softer and brighter. No makeup or filters. All natural for me and I want the same from my products. I have been using many of the products from Baja Basics and I have to say this one is one of my favs. It’s light, and does not have a strong scent.(even though all their natural products smell amazing, the rose oil by them is also incredible) Prickly pear oil absorbs beautifully and does not leave a greasy feeling. You won’t regret it!!

I have tried so many different facial oils, from black seed oil to pomegranate which was recommended by my enesthitician. My favorites are rose hip seed oil and pomegranate, but this oil blows them both away. This is the one that I've finally seen specific results with! Reduction in fine lines, much smoother, brighter skin. It's hydrating without being greasy. It's a nice, light oil that absorbs quickly. Oddly enough even my pores seem smaller. A little goes a long way. Sometimes I mix it with my rosehip seed oil and sometimes I use alone. It makes my makeup look much smoother, brighter, and more natural. Gives my face a lovely youthful glow. I can't say enough good things about this oil! It's a staple in my cabinet now!

Great. Leaves a slight film but light weight enough that it absorbs quickly. Great for hydration.
