I've used it to cast molds of rings and it works well. Not quite as fine as I'd like it but still plenty find for my uses. It does not show impressions on the metal and holds its shape nicely after compaction.

I am very new to sand casting and was unsure what to purchase to get started. I wanted something that was new guy friendly and I didn't want to break the bank either. This has both of those covered. It was inexpensive compared to other options and very easy to use for a beginner. The quality of the impression was very good and I have used it repeatedly due to my own beginner errors and it has proven to be durable and long lasting. I will definitely be a repeat customer if I stay with the sand casting.

Works great. Make sure to finely sift before packing for quality and consistency in grains. Pack well and enjoy. This is a quality product.

This is very easy to use in small applications. I've been using it to pour copper rounds, and simple shapes. It's very easy to work with. I can make something simple to pour into in five minutes, and have it work flawlessly. I'm very new at this. I'm still learning. For my purposes, this sand is ideal, and I will be making many purchases in the future.

I think it works very well for many things but if you want fine details delft clay is the thing to use. I have not tried any of the finer grits I wasn’t aware of them until a few months ago
