Size up! Very comfortable
Size up!!! Glad I read reviews first, they do run small. I normally wear an 8 and ordered the 8.5 and they fit perfectly! My personal trainer recommended these for weight lifting exercises. I haven’t tried them at the gym yet but trying them on they are very comfortable and have good arch support. I like that my toes can spread out and they are very lightweight, flexible and breathable. Should be perfect for strength exercises.

Comfortable, natural movement. Quality shoes.
I ran a half marathon and could feel that my typical shoes were restricting my feet and legs from recovering the way barefoot walking would do. Found these and purchased. SO glad I did bc that was a year ago and I've worn them nearly every working day since. I work 11-12 hr days on my feet running around on concrete moving heavy major appliances. Expensive cushioned shoes, "ergonomic" shoes, shoes with fancy inserts, all of them hurt horribly by the end of the day. These are the only ones that do not. The flexible ground-feel of these has trained me to walk in a way that naturally cushions the strike pattern and uses a more varied and natural muscle movement. They've also held up perfectly. I wish Whitin offered a water proof/resistant winter boot option so I could have these features without risking wet feet when the snow flies.

Most favorite shoes!
These are my most favorite shoes of all time. I wear them everywhere! I suffered from pretty bad plantar fasciitis for years trying every shoe you could imagine. Nothing really worked. I also had surgery on my left meniscus so my gait is a little off which causes both knee and hip to ache and sometimes my ankle on the surgical side. My dad bought me a pair of barefoot Merrells because he had loved them. I tried them and fell in love, too. But I’m a girl and girls like shoes so while I loved my Merrells I definitely did not love their price point. Then I found WHITIN! These shoes have almost completely ended my plantar fasciitis pain. They are light, they are comfortable and I can’t live without them. They have almost completely ended my knee, hip, and ankle pain, too. Even more comfy than the Merrells. They line my leg up correctly and force me to walk like I should. The only reason I gave them four stars instead of five is because the reflective threads on the pull tab still rub at one ankle. It’s only on one shoe but it’s irritating and it’s only the reflective threads the main tab threads are soft. I ended up cutting the reflective threads out. No biggie. Also, for some reason when I wear these for major walking - we’re talking extreme all day walking at Disneyland or on vacay exploring a city, I blister rubs on the ball of my foot behind my toes. I’ve never had that with any other shoe and it could be a fault in my anatomy or even my odd gait that causes it because it’s on that surgical side that has all the problems. That being said, it only happens when I’m doing extreme walking. Other than those minor problems, these are the best shoes I’ve ever owned and I wear them everywhere - even to church! (I need a solid white with a white sole made!!!) I made the mistake of wearing a different pair of shoes on our last vacation because I was afraid to get the blister on the ball of my foot. Those other shoes chewed my heels to pieces. Two huge and painful blister on each heel! Needless to say, I couldn’t wear those shoes again. Slipped my WHITIN’s on over the hydrocolloid blister bandages and never had a problem. My WHITIN’s didn’t rub or aggravate my blisters at all and I could walk normally for the remainder of the trip. They are awesome! I do have naturally narrow feet but these offer plenty of room for movements without looking like clown shoes. You can feel the road under your feet but I’ve never been bruised from rocks or anything else. The padding is sufficient. They wash well and still look great even after a year and a half of almost constant wear. I love them. I definitely recommend these to everyone!

Surprising Quality, Comfort & Style
TLDR: I recommend this brand for everyday use! Using their size guide we actually got shoes that fit the first time around! If you’ve ever bought shoes online before, especially for kids AND considering European sizes, that’s a small miracle. We mostly wear them barefoot (without socks), I had a small period of adjusting my outside toe to that as expected (photographed) but now I can with ease, and if I choose a low sock the fit/wear is just as pleasant, no sliding down on the back of heel, there’s actually small cushions on the inside of the shoe I tried to picture. They’re so comfortable. I never tie or untie these, I slide on and off each wear, the sock fit is a very nice feature for me here. I included photos comparing to crocs, vivos, and hey dudes but those all have pretty wide toe boxes. My girls, ages 5&2 loved them from the get—sparkly and beautiful, and not in a ‘in your face pink glitter for a girl’ color, they can go with or without socks (never experiencing a blister) AND they can take them on and off without help. Which holds a lot of weight for most moms. Speaking of weight, they’re very light. They don’t feel blocky or sound like my kids are having a hard time wearing them, even with the wider toe box which is my favorite part and is likely why the fit is so comfortable for all of us. Most US made adult tennis shoes have tight toe boxes where these do not, without compromising look/style. I love the tannish beige, I accepted they wouldn’t stay ‘clean’ forever but I don’t regret my choice. They match with everything and I can wear them with every kind of bottom except skinny jeans as I just personally don’t like the look of tight jeans with a tennis shoe but I’ll wear leggings, sweats, joggers and shorts with them. Lastly, Kids’ tend to show the quality of a shoe/brand pretty quickly. These have held up well as being our main shoe since summer 2024—parks, outside play, coaching volleyball and still nice enough for church. Current (Dec 2024) photos showing wear included.

My Absolute Favorite Shoes
Idk what these shoes are made of but they’re freaking amazing. I ordered these almost a year ago and have worn them every single day since they arrived. Every morning I take my pup for a 3 mile walk, and then hit the gym for 1-2 hours. These shoes have been through it ALL with me, and they still look brand freaking new. I wear them during stretching, warm up, cool down, running errands, traveling, you think of it, I’ve done it in these. They’re so comfortable yet sturdy. They almost feel like wearing socks since the main material is so stretchy, but the middle part where the laces are is firm so it holds your foot in place. You can bend the entire shoe right in half and it will just pop back in place. I’m mostly impressed with the toe crease area, because somehow it still isn’t separating. Every single pair of shoes I wear regularly separates in this area, except these. People will ask you where you bought them constantly, be ready to be approached. Idk if they’ll over show any wear, but if they do I’ll be right back to buy another pair. 100/10, highly recommend.

Sent used item, toe box too narrow
My order literally came in a gallon Ziploc bag, and the shoes were clearly used-- the soles were dirty and slightly worn. Unfortunately, the toe box wasn't nearly as wide as expected, it was actually shaped more like a traditional shoe with a *slightly* wider toe space on the outside of the foot, but the inside (big toe side) still curved in slightly. I liked the thickness and flexibility of the sole, and padding around the rest of the shoe was comfortable, but unfortunately I returned the product.

Great fit, great quality
Best shoes I've had so far! Great fit, super comfy and very sturdy. So far they have outlasted hiking trips over the year and counting!

Not so great on rainy conditions! Here’s why 👇 (updated)
2023 …. I really don’t know why, just know that when it rains here in Southern America, it rains! But these shoes aren’t just quite made for these rainy conditions. There’s been several occasions when I’m doing the almost falling dance because they’re so slippery! Even on payment and concrete? Especially in the stores? I don’t believe anyone really has mentioned that in their reviews BUT imma tell you! Unless, I got the bad batch? However! Being slippery and all when it’s NOT raining they are great! I can feel the rocks barely tho. They are flexible, mind you I have wide feet so my toes are able to roam around freely and happily. But on that note I am an active person I love to run and for some odd reason I get blisters on my toes with these and when I’m walking for a long periods of time? Especially on my fat toes, underneath. Honestly it’s a love and hate relationship. They are great shoes especially since it almost feels like you’re walking barefoot but you’re not. I am used to running barefoot and I tried running with them on and frankly it just doesn’t feel the same. When I’m skipping (jump roping) I’m also off balance compared to skipping barefoot. Makes me wonder if they really are for you to feel like your barefoot (but your not) are they actually leveled enough to the ground so you can actually stay in balance? Mmmm. Or maybe I’m just used to being barefoot while doing certain activities and the shoes just throw me off? Whatever the reason they have made my feet stronger. My arches don’t hurt as they used to. I’ve used name brands (Nike, Adidas, Pumas, NB, etc) and honestly with blisters and all I prefer these. If your not used to almost feel like your bare foot shoes it will make your feet hurt. And your feet are not strong as they should be. Because of the so called “support” that majority of the shoes have nowadays. #Stayflexy! –––––– –––––– ——— ———- ——— Updated on : March 2025 Bought my second pair the updated pictures are from my first purchase. (3/‘24) basically took me a whole year to really finish my shoes like this haha Decided to purchase them again! Despite knowing they don’t do so well in the rain. (They do dry pretty quick if you get them wet) But they’re just so comfortable now! I don’t even get blisters anymore! I’m Not sure if it’s because I’m more used to them now. They’re my everyday go to shoes. Literally, the only shoes I wear! I also got some hard plastic arch inserts here on Amazon and my feet still fit pretty good in them as well. Once in a while I’ll wear them to get some support on my arch. Also, I would recommend changing the shoe laces they tend to untie frequently even if I double knot. Still I believe they are great shoes and the price is still great!
