Kuat Racks NV 2.0 Bike Rack

I've had this rack for about 5 years now. It was definitely one of the priciest racks at the time but it has lived up to its value proposition very well. It is solid and rugged: perfect for heavier ebikes. Easy to mount/dismount your bike: Rack arm in position and strap the rear wheel - done! I love the built-in cable locks (though I use a separate lock as well). The flip up storage and tilt-down modes works great with my van that has a large swing up door allowing rear hatch access with the bikes still mounted. Overall, a very functional, well-designed, rugged - and dare I say, a work of art!

Very solid, better than expected, very well made. I purchased this with the swing out (drivers side). The combo doesn't move at all or rattle when driving, no noise, and no worrying if the bikes are moving around because of play at the receiver. I picked the drivers side swing to completely get bikes out of the way of my bronco tailgate and tire. I do think, after installing the set up, that either drivers side or passenger side would work on a bronco with no interference.

The package arrived with a lot of tape holding the box together and a lot of holes in the box. however, the reviews I had read indicated that the item was well packaged. The reviews were correct, the item was not damaged at all. Unfortunately, inside the box was a return slip with the name, address, and phone number of the previous buyer so this item was a return (probably due to all the box damage). There was no manual or paperwork inside the box other than the previous buyers return slip so I assembled it from photos. It was quite easy to assemble. The bike rack is VERY sturdy and heavy. The integrated cable locks as well as the integrated bike holder for maintenance are outstanding features! Tilting up AND down is also excellent and easy to use. Other than being very heavy, this bike rack is outstanding! Without a manual, I have no idea if we are missing anything else but I had to keep it to carry bikes for a half ironman race in another state. We are contemplating purchasing the extension that accommodates an additional 2 bikes.

Beautiful rack and intuitively functional. Adaptable to any size bike. A little pricey but worth it. Invest in the Kuat Rackdock which will keep your rack off the floor and out of the way.
