The Woodstock Chimes (Pluto Wind Chime) is heavier than I thought it would be. I still love it! Chimes beautifully. It has a deeper calming sound.

This is a chime that is so beautiful and welcome to the ears that you almost want to set up an oscillating fan below it to make it chime more . The sound example provided by Amazon is accurate. It's not that tinkly, high-pitched, sometimes annoying chime you hear from so many other brands. This one is gentle, warm, soothing, and sweet. And it is very well constructed. But please be aware that the stated measurement is from the top of the little copper square that holds the chime all the way down to the end of the wooden square that dangles below it. The chimes themselves are only 13" at the longest one. Definitely important if you're looking for something larger. I did a ton of research (anal that way) before making my choice. I even went to the Woodstock website so I could listen to their different styles - which I highly recommend doing if you're serious about what you'll be hearing all day & night in your home or outdoors. And I must say I got quite an education. Nevertheless, it's always a subjective decision. If you're looking to spend a little more money for something you'll be proud of & pleased to enjoy with your family, friends .... and neighbors, then I really think this, or any other Woodstock product, would be a great choice. They really seem to know and care about what they're doing. As a matter of fact, the same day I received this chime, I went ahead and bought the Earth Wind 37" chime to join it. Can't wait to hear their duets.

I fell in love with the Woodstock chime collection at a storefront, where I could listen to how they all sounded, individually and together. Each has its own tone and vibe and none are tinny and annoying... I realize "annoying" is subjective so unless you hate the sound of wind chimes in general, these are as close to perfection as can be. The Pluto chimes were within reach, budget wise, so they were the first to be ordered (and since Pluto is my favorite non-planet-planet, I am very happy with that decision). The black chimes are perfect against our black cabin and the Pluto chimes are the right size to hang anywhere you wish. The sound is subtle, gentle, peaceful and it doesn't take much breeze to make it happen. I bought these chimes months ago and they have held up beautifully in all of the elements. The Neptune chimes are my coveted chimes from this collection and that one is on my Christmas wish list as #1 want. Little by little... one by one.... I will collect each and every one of the chimes from the Woodstock planet collection.

Love these windchimes. The sound is regal....deeper and vibrant. It's not high pitched and annoying like most. Quality item delivered in record speed.

There are so many Woodstock chimes to choose from that I had a hard time making up my mind as to the chime sound I wanted and the looks of the windchime itself. I visited the company's website first so that I could listen to all the Woodstock chimes that Amazon carries, ones I thought were both pretty and interesting looking. The Encore Chimes of Pluto had such a beautiful melody, full and rich, but not a deep sound nor a tinkly cheap one, either. Just perfect. So then I was torn between the bronze colored pipes and these in black. I was excited but still a little doubtful since these chimes are a little more expensive than I'm used to. Well, my chimes came from Amazon today and they are just gorgeous and the melody is simply perfect! I'm so very pleased with both the lovely dark wood finish of the chime top and clapper, and also with the black coating of the pipes. Having owned probably more than 25 windchimes over the years, these are the best quality and the most pleasing of any, both in looks and sound. I couldn't be better satisfied and plan to purchase another set later! I only wish I could give this item more than 5 stars!

These chimes are very attractive, are well made, and sound beautiful. I have several of the Woodstock Encore chimes (all but the very largest in the line) and they are completely harmonious together. Having the variety of lower and higher pitches makes for a very melodious sound without being overly loud when the wind blows. The only thing I don't like -- and the only reason I deducted a star -- is that after two seasons, even if I bring them in when the cold weather arrives, the wood platform starts to dry out and the strings that hold the tubes degrade and break or come lose from the platform. I try to bring them in when it rains in order to try to prolong their life, but I am not sure how much it helps.

Beautiful sounding chimes. I now know there can be a difference in quality and sound. So melodic. Not at all tinny like other chimes. Looking forward to the summer breezes.

I bought these as a gift for my sister. After hearing them while visiting at her home, had to get them for myself. The chimes are well tuned,good quality and I enjoy hearing their sound. They come in various sizes so get one for the porch and another to hang away from the house so you can hear them in the distance. Very relaxing.

These are the best wind chimes. Period. The sound is magical, I couldn’t believe my own ears. Just go for them , you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

I have bought several wind chimes over the years, to hang at our cottage. They all break in a pretty quick time frame, due to the wind. This set is amazing. The sound is absolutely beautiful, and the construction is very sturdy. They show no signs of wear. I am confident this set will last me a very long time. They have already outlived any of my previous sets. I love them ❤️
