Good hanger, inaccurate description. Great shoulder width for my shirts (does anybody really intends to use it for a coat?) of size Small/14.5. Good quality hook. Since it is meant for coats (so they say) it slightly thicker that I wanted it to be for my purpose (shirts). Also, it isn't flat, it is slightly shaped. It is still OK to use it for the shirts, but I will not re-purchase it

I have a house with very narrow closets... Most hangers do not fit in there, nevermind once they have something like a jacket hanging on them.Other reviews mention that they are 16" and I am here to report that they are, indeed, exactly 16" wide... Which is absolutely perfect for manging stuff in my teeny closets!They are only about a half an inch thick, so they don't take up much room when my closet is stuffed with things.My only "negative" is that they do not seem suited to heavy winter coats, but I have other, more heavy-duty wooden hangers for those types of heavy things. And I only have about 4 heavy coats between my husband and I.These hangers will do just fine for the other 96% of coats, jackets, dresses, gowns, and shirts I want to hang on there.The notches are fairly deep, as well, which has proven to be perfect for my sleeveless articles of clothing.Next time I need more hangers, these are definitely the ones I'm going for!

All "small" shirt size guys, rejoice!Let me tell you why this is the hanger we (size small shirt guys) been looking for.- The length of the hanger measures at approximately 16 inches. (most small shirts/tees' shoulder length are 16inches to about 16.5 inches.This hanger will fit perfectly without going beyond the shoulder seams.)- Quality is 5/5. The metal hook is solid, and it is secured tightly into the wood. It will spin only if you twist it with force.The wood surface is smooth, it does not catch onto my fabrics.- There is a small dip on each side of the hanger. For guys, we dont really need this feature but it does catch your slippery shirt from falling sometimes as you are hanging it. Which is a good thing.- looks fancy and awesome.

I purchased several sets of these Wooden Coat Hangers for use with women's clothing (button down shirts and dresses), and they are just right!These hangers are made from beech wood and have a nice smooth finish that allows clothing to easily slide over it without any snagging. It has a nice nickle plated swivel hook, that can turn fully around, and notches at the shoulders for easy hanging.While these hangers may not fit large or extra large heavy coats, they are just the right size for women's XS button down shirts and dresses. I highly recommend these hangers for women's clothing! They are simply pretty and perfect! Grade A!

The main problem with these hangers is the size. Since it is not referenced anywhere in the product description, one would assume the size is standard. It is not. The width is exactly 16", whereas a standard size (I measured about 50 hangers in my closets) is 17.5". It is simply too small to keep proper shape of my shirts and jackets. I suggest to pay attention to this when buying. I also suggest to the company be transparent and advertise these with the actual size. The quality of the product seems adequate though, and the packing was fine too.

So today is the 8 day I have been reviewing the wooden hangers you know it's winter time so there are a lot of heavy coats on plastic hahgers when you open the hall closet you fined coats all over the floor from where the hanger can't handle the weight of the coat well it will drive you crazy like it dose me you will love these wooden hanger I tookout the other hangers and just use these and did you know I did not find one coat on the floor win win for me as you see in the picture I used a back pack that was 5 pds. And the plastic hanger is bowing and where the wooden hanger stayed nice in firm I think u will like these give them a try

Very nice, smooth finish and rounded ends (minimize snagging knits). Not as heavy for uses with coats, but my intent was for heavier shirts and blouses and medium-weight sweaters. These work well for the medium-weight clothes (the other J.S. Hanger hangers are really suitable for the finer blouses and shirts; see that review).After my experience with these and reading other comments, I am adding that I prefer the smaller size for women's blouses and shirts. Very often the standard sized hangers poke the shoulders or upper arms of my blouses because they are too long.Thus these are great for people who buy and hang smaller clothes, such as women.

We got these for a special project for our wedding. We bent wire to write each bridemaids' name between the arms of the hanger. I drilled small holes and glued the wire between them.Why is this important to the review, you ask? Well, I can tell you they are nice solid wood hangers. I had to drill, glue and generally roughly handle the hangers, and they ended up looking great! They are very good quality, and I was happy that we not only gave our wedding party a fun personal gift, but one that was also a good quality useful item.

Superb, well-made hanger, the best of its kind. It's made my closet look chic and orderly, I always used to think that wood hangers would look chunky and heavy, but it is exactly the opposite.

Just the correct size and shape
