Q: What is best way to clean? Mine has a residue on it that won't come off.

I suggest a cleaner that is save for plastics called Bar Keeper's Friend. It is one of the best kitchen cleaners I've discovered over the decades. It comes in a gold color container similar in shape to what you find "Comet/Ajax" in but this is non-abrasive and leaves no residue. I've used it with a scrubby pad to completely recover a pan with years of cooked on dark gook on the bottom, that's how good it is.
