I just started using these with filters in my new whole house water filtration from my well. Wow, these filters work much better than i expected, the water tastes great, it looks clearer and the filter catches the iron deposits. I should have done this years ago.

The product works as designed - We do not have much grit at the bottom of our well, so we can go for the suggested time between replacements. We have found that if we do run the well too low, it does capture the particles and sediment well, and of course, we replace it right away.

Seems to work just fine the reason for four star instead of five is because it had a slow leak when I first started using it. It was on the inlet side so I turned the water off and re-wrapped the teflon putting more on the second time. That provided a worse leak so I did it again with the same results. So I then got some of my own teflon tape and re-wrapped it again this time adding some plumbers grease to it. That solved the leak but I don't know if it was the different teflon tape or the plumbers grease or both that solved it. Hope this helps someone else out there.
