Premier EasyGrind 2.0 Liters Wet Grinder - 110V

Machine is light, has a small footprint, fits perfectly on the countertop and has an easy one button operation. Prior to getting this wet grinder I utilized Blentec and Vitamix blenders.. The batter made by this grinder is superior in texture and consistency. I received it yesterday and after cleaning, immediately put to use to make dosa batter. In 20 m minutes of minimum intervention … it ground 4 cups of rice and 1 cup of urad daal. As an added bonus there is a kneeler and coconut scraper which I have not tried yet. The machine seems to be of a good quality and barring a mishap will last few years. The seller was prompt in shipping in a very secure package. Very pleased with purchase and delivery and would recommend it to those who love home cooked food.

My previous wet grinder was also of Premier brand,compact table top 2liter wet grinder and we loved it.It loyally served us for 10 years and it finally broke one day when I was using it. So without any second thought I went with Premier again but was pleasantly surprised when this light weight wet grinder caught my attention.I went ahead and got this one:) It’s been an year I have been using this wet grinder. Use it every other week or two to make Idli/Dosa/Vada batters & the batter turns out really perfect. Don’t know what the negative reviews here are about but I definitely follow some rules and tips while grinding to attain perfect batter consistency each & every time. 1.This grinder won’t work well if the top screw is not tightened completely. No matter how long you grind your lentils/rice will remain unground & coarse.To lock it perfectly you need to press the screw down with your palm applying some pressure and then rotate it to tighten perfectly and remember this is MANDATORY!!! 2.Never ever add way too much of lentils/rice to the grinder.Always add the recommended amount only! 1.5 to 2cups of dry unsoaked urad dal and 4 cups of rice are just perfect measures to grind after soaking.But not to forget..they have to be ground individually not together at once. And I use 160ml cup(which is a regular rice cup you get with any rice cooker). 3.Always grind dal & rice separately as they both need different timings and textures. 4.Keep adding water just little by little and only when needed. Do not pour the required water all at once(very bad idea!!).Failing to do so may result in the batter splashing everywhere,keeping it unevenly ground OR sometimes may even make the batter way too runny resulting in flat idlis. 5.I make sure to soak my lentils & rice in the refrigerator overnight. It helps the lentils/rice stay cold while grinding and also helps in keeping the motor cool as well . Otherwise the ingredients/motor can get hot which we do not want🙂 Sharing these few tips which I follow without fail and I just hope this helps you guys as well🙂 Also sharing video of grinding Idli batter,pics of Thatte Idlis/plate idlis and Vada’s made using this beautiful grinder. The batter shown in the steel container in the pics is only made of urad dal. I used 2 cups of dry urad dal for making the batter. I’ve been using the Premier EasyGrind 2.0 Liters Wet Grinder for a few months now, and overall, I’m quite impressed. This grinder has become an essential part of my kitchen, especially for making idli and dosa batter. The compact design is a huge plus, as it doesn’t take up much counter space, and it’s relatively lightweight, making it easy to move around. The grinding performance is excellent. The natural stones grind at a slow speed, preserving the nutrients and flavors of the ingredients. The motor is powerful enough to handle tough grinding tasks, and it operates quietly, which is a bonus. I also appreciate the easy assembly and disassembly feature, which makes cleaning a breeze. However, there are a couple of minor drawbacks. The wiring could be better protected, as I’ve noticed it can get tangled with the rotating mechanism. Additionally, the top lock needs to be tightened well to ensure quick and fine grinding. Despite these issues, the overall performance and convenience make this grinder a great addition to any kitchen.

I have used this product to grind cocoa nibs to make chocolate. I’ve ran it for 24 hours on a couple occasions and on shorter runs as well. Works extremely well to fully grind chocolate nibs. No extreme heat emission. It’s also not super noisy. It’s noticeably running but not super loud. I would recommend purchasing this product!

Units wires get tangled with units rotating mechanism and will fray the insulation exposing live wires. This is an electrical hazard and amazon should take this serious safety concern into consideration and have the vendor modify the design. After units wires got damaged, vendor offered to have it repaired. However, since I could repair the wire, they send the spare part and I had it replaced but put a wiring conduit to prevent it from ever happening again. AGAIN, THE PRODUCT IS GOOD, BUT NEEDS SAFETY UPGRADES TO WIRE OR THERE WILL BE A SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. AMAZON TAKE ACTION ASAP.
