Initial Review: What I've Come to Expect
This is my initial review of the Maxpedition C.M.C. Wallet. It's replacing a trifold Rainbow wallet that I've had for years. It appears to be very well made - just what I've come to expect from Maxpedition. This is a bifold wallet with a Velcro-secured flap. The change pouch on the back side of the wallet is going to take some getting used to. I've never had a wallet that had one of those but I'm already using it and can see the usefulness of it.There is only one bad thing and this is about the only bad thing I have to say about this wallet after using it a just a few days. The zipper pull for the change pouch is really big and got in the way. If I carried the wallet change-pouch-out, it stuck out and printed through my pants pocket. If I carried it change-pouch-in, I could feel it all day, especially when I sat down. The zipper pull is simply too big, in my opinion. What I did was use some needle nose pliers and separated the top of the zipper slider enough so I could take the pull handle off and then closed it back down. The pull was just too big. I can move the slider up and down enough by simply pushing it with my thumb - no need for such a big zipper. If I feel I need something to slide it up and down with I'll use a piece of gutted paracord or something like that. That's it, that's the only negative I can find with this wallet so far.The Velcro on the pouch seems strong. It's loud when you open it it up. There's no way somebody could open your wallet in the same room as you and you NOT know about it. I haven't used the three elastic pouches yet but I'm sure I'll find something to keep in there. I like the way the load is distributed on this wallet. I know I'm coming from a trifold wallet so it's a little like comparing apples to oranges but this wallet distributes the load much more evenly than my old one. I don't feel like I'm sitting on a great big, thick wad of stuff. I also like that there are two currency slots in this wallet. I keep my to-be-used money in the front slot and my not-to-be-used stash money in the back slot. The size is about right. If it were any taller it would stick out from the top of my pants pocket but as it is, it fits just right. I had read and seen some reviews that the Maxpedition Spartan wallet was too tall and would stick out of some pants pockets. They must have gotten some comments and requests about that issue because this one is just the right size.As I've said, this wallet is new to me so I don't have a lot of feedback after much useage of it yet. I've carried it three days now. Should my opinion of the Maxpedition change after carrying it around some more I'll come back and update this review. But as of now, I would recommend this wallet. It seems to be a very well-made wallet: good design, strong stitching and solid materials. I hope it will last for years.

Dynamic wallet if you have a fat stack of cash and 2 lucky coins to store
Dynamic wallet if you have a fat stack of cash and 2 lucky coins to store. I took my disabled cousin to the casino for the weekend on his birthday as I do every year and he ended up winning >$5000 in cash. He split his leather wallet in half with 55 crisp $100 bills and laughed hysterically about it. By the time we got home, this product was on my doorstep and I presented it to him. His century-old lucky coins fit great in the zipper and it comfortably holds all of his winnings. I've used my Spartan wallet for 6 years and I expect this one to be the same outstanding quality I expect from Maxpedition.5 stars for a well-made product at a reasonable price, shipped quickly, and making my gift choice an easy one.

By far the best wallet I've ever had, just bought another as a backup!
One of the biggest problems many people (including myself) have had with wallets is that they fall apart in one way or another. Either the wallet no longer seals or closes, or it rips, gets torn, etc. This wallet will have none of those problems. I bought a second Maxpedition C.M.C. Wallet only because it took me alot of time and effort to find a wallet as good as this and I'm afraid that if I lose the one I have right now, these might not be in stock any more. I've been a proud owner of this wallet for several months now and, as the reviews of others have described, it's "extremely" tough (which is good and what most of us want, of course.) I'm genuinely impressed. Right away I got an idea of its durability when I opened it for the first time...it has a solid seal that will always close when you want it to and it will stay closed, it won't open accidentally like alot of these other clumsy/floppy ass wallets. It has atleast double the amount of Velcro as most other wallets. I managed to somehow get melted chewing gum on my wallet (don't ask how) and the gum dried up seemingly permanently onto my wallet. I ran this bad boy through a full cycle of my washer machine and dryer...the gum stains were all gone and it took it like champ!I can't finish this review without mentioning the AWESOME zipper-sealed exterior compartment. This too has a really good seal, I haven't had not one single thing drop out of it...unlike other wallets. Exterior compartments are really good to have on wallets because they give quick access to items (such as change for a snack machine, for example) without having to open the wallet up and dig through stuff. On an average day I carry 2 usb flashdrives and about 2 dollars in change in the exterior compartment. There's also another really good zippered compartment inside. This wallet's 5-star ratings are well deserved.

This wallet can beat up your friend's wallet
Super wallet! This thing should come with an S on its chest. If it had a chest. But this is way better than other nylon wallets. The material is heavier, and the design is better. The sewing is all top notch. There are lots of pockets for cards and etc. It has two bill compartments, and two coin (or whatever) pouches-- one inside, flatter, more like for small items, and one on the back, where you could actually use it for change. My one complaint is that the pull on the outer coin pocket actually rattles around a lot. I clipped it off and replaced it with thin paracord. There are also little elastic slots for small USB cards or the like. The wallet is thick (it has a lot of slots and pockets!), so don't think this is a slim little surfer billfold. It's definitely more of a cargo pants pocket type of wallet.
