This stuff is amazing!
I bought one spray can to try out and ended up covering most of my project in it!The look is unreal over a black base coat! It's actually almost not noticable in lower and indirect lighting. But in direct sunlight it really explodes!I can imagine this being lovely over other colors or patterns.

Adds a lovely iridescent shimmer in sunlight
This clear coat gives you the ability to add something different to your project. It's good to know that the effect is not as pronounced in lower levels of light, particularly indoors - but bright sunlight makes it punch. I sprayed this outside in the shade, and was initially concerned that this was a boring waste of time until I took my workpiece into the sun, and it was a whole different story. To me, this is part of the fun of the effect - somewhat stealthy in dim light, then big pop in the sun.The flakes are indeed quite small, but too many coats will tend to block the base color from showing through - which might or might not be troublesome depending on the end result you are looking for. The sparkles have the *potential* for a rainbow color spectrum provided a full color light source (like the sun). One other reviewer commented that the effect was underwhelming with fluorescent light - fluorescent light has a somewhat limited spectral composition, so therefore the effect will be less pronounced.

Sorry, not seeing it.
Sprayed this over single color lacquer guitar finish to add some sheen. One light coat, two follow-up moderate coats spaced 20 minutes apart. Didn't see much of anything that suggested enhancement of sheen or metallic effect. If you're looking for something louder, I suggest some Krylon Glitter Shimmer, coat to the effect you want, followed by some Mohawk Finisher's Choice Clear Lacquer, 3 coats. Don't go heavy on any one coat. Much more robust, eye-popping. Let your finished product sit for weeks to properly flash off, cure and harden before any eventual buffing. It's worth the wait.

Glitter Paint
Some 7-10 year olds used this to put some "sparkle" on a pinewood derby car. On areas more concentratedly sprayed, it looked like silvery/white glitter. This was most noticeable over somewhat sparkly paint anyway. Other areas, with just plain paint pen paint (say that five times quickly), it wasn't noticeable at all under dull flourescent lighting. I know it was there, because those areas were adjacent to the super sparkly/glittered areas, and a pinewood racer just isn't that big.Overall, it does what it says it's going to do, although the results don't turn out exactly as depicted on the can. I can see where normally sprayed and then viewed under bright lights will create sparkles to appear. The results are subtle if lightly sprayed and will cover up normal paint if you go overboard. I think if we experiment we will find the application amount that will turn it into the magic fairy dust paint look they wanted.
