This laptop does not run Windows. It has ChromeOS, which is based on Linux. It is very easy to use, and fine for casual browsing and using the Google apps. The down side is you cannot install Microsoft or Windows apps. I have a Windows machine for work, but I love the Chromebook for travel. Think of doing Android phone-like things but with a larger screen and keyboard.
