FANTASTIC VISUAL GUIDE!
I recently purchased this book, and I love it. The pictures are great, the directions are very clear and easy to follow, and you can really tell that the author is very mindful of bodily safety during pregnancy. The other thing that I like is that the book doesn't dive deep into the spirituality of yoga, rather it references it, and I feel this leaves room for your own interpretation.I took yoga classes several years ago and felt the need to start practicing again with this pregnancy (my 2nd in 12 months) because my back is feeling very weak when I lift my 20 lb daughter. I made a voice recording to guide myself through a routine by reading step by step instructions for several of the poses in the book. It was easy, and it works great! I also decided to purchase a guided shavasana MP3, and it makes a great addition to the end of the session.If you are looking for a way to practice yoga while being pregnant, you should buy this book!

Simple and laid back
I've been doing yoga for about 10 years, but have no experience with prenatal yoga (I was on bed rest for my first pregnancy, no yoga). I am a stay-at-home mom to a toddler, so I wanted to try a book. This book is simple, laid back, and easy to use. It's set up in four sections: early pregnancy, mid pregnancy, late pregnancy, and postnatal. I like that poses are laid out in such a way that I can do as much or as little as I want during sessions. The relaxation section of this book is pretty awesome. I can definitely see using some of the techniques during labor. My absolute favorite thing about the book is that is has mudras in it. I love doing mudras that correspond with poses. The postnatal section is nice because it incorporates your baby in very simple (and practical in my opinion) ways. I'm not sure I'd recommend the book to a complete beginner, but if you have even minimal yoga experience I think you'll enjoy it.

Great book!
This book is fantastic! It describes the stretches and exercises in easy-to-follow detail and does a nice job explaining how to put together a routine that will help address your specific concerns. The exercises for sciatica are an absolute lifesaver, and I also appreciate the routine that helps address fatigue. Now,if only there was a stretch to prevent nausea.The only reason I didn't give this 5-stars is that it would be nice if it came with a CD with audio instructions because I find it difficult to keep going back to the book in the middle of a pose to check what I'm supposed to do next.

Super rich book!
The media could not be loaded. Amazing information, great material with super clear pictures and descriptions about each asana. I’m a yoga teacher and I’ve used it during my prenatal yoga teacher training. Absolutely loved it!!

Not what I was looking for....
As an experienced/advanced yoga practitioner, this book wasn't really what I was looking for. I think this book is really designed for a beginning practitioner. If you are looking to get into yoga simply to relax, stretch, and learn basic postures during your pregnancy, this might be what you are looking for. I use yoga to relax, stretch, and meditate, but I also use it to get a good workout in. I like to sweat a bit during my practice. This book doesn't deliver as far as getting a good workout or building strength and stamina (maybe for a newbie but certainly not an experienced yogi). It advises to take it easy the 1st trimester, which I'm sure for some is necessary, but personally, I didn't find that advice helpful. I'm now in my second trimester and still looking for a safe yet challenging prenatal yoga book and/or DVD. Until I find it, I'm just sticking to my pre pregnancy vinyasa classes. I also find the amount of conflicting information about what poses aren't safe to be rather frustrating:(

Awesome Yoga for Pregnancy Book!
I love this book! I was looking for a book that included options for non-beginners (although I'm by no means an expert either) and this book gave them to me. I am so excited to finally be clear on what I can or should not do yoga-wise while I'm pregnant. I have been using the exercises from this book since I got it a few weeks ago and I foresee using it through the birth and after having baby and keeping it for next time, too. I already have two kids, but I didn't do yoga through those pregnancies. Doing yoga this time has made such a difference, that I want to do it everyday!

Best Pre-natal Yoga Book
I'm a pre-natal yoga teacher, and I have many books on pregnancy yoga. This one is by far my favorite. The pictures are very detailed and well-done. Each pose is broken down step-by-step and has a photo to demonstrate the move. I also like that it is divided by early, mid, and late pregnancy. There is also a section on doing yoga with your baby after the birth.This book will be the one I recommend to my students because it's simple, safe, and well-illustrated without being too Eastern in it's approach. It will suit the average American reader, while still staying true to the heart of yoga.

Detailed and full of varation
Excellent pre-natal yoga book. You can easily turn to any two or more pages to do a short yoga routine each night. Even though it's sectioned off into each trimester, most postures are safe for all trimesters if you feel comfortable doing them. My pre-natal yoga teacher has this book as a reference, that's how good it is. It's not a movie, so yes, it takes some time to get all the details of the postures correct, but you should expect that, it's a book. -Natalie
