I remembered having this sonic hat as a free gift from GameStop or something. Anyways I was pleased to find it on Amazon. Exact hat I remember having! great quality fabric. The Velcro strap under the chin can be irritating.And the size is fairly comfortable for an adult to wear. Perfect for kids too, my nephew loved it.

Purchased for adult son to wear with his costume. He liked the quality of the product and fit. Highly recommend.

I didn’t think how cute and funny it was gonna be when I put it on. I will say I didn’t like how itchy it was on my chin, that was the only downside.

Its very nostalgic for me to play the old Sonic games with my four year old. He plays outstandingly well for his age. When his kindergarten class started the fall decorations, he asked to be Sonic for Halloween. He continued to remind me, so no backing out. Last year he was Iron Man and his brother (near age 3) was Captain America. Toddler costumes can be a challenge with limited selections but Mommy's a former cosplayer. I searched, but all choices looked strange or too large. This hat works great! I'd say an older child could wear it well too. It is the correct shade of blue, not dark, nor royal, but a vibrant mid shade making the fabric matching easier. The hat is seems durable and definitely far better quality than I expected. I would not clean the hat in the washing machine. To keep it in good shape, dry clean. Parents, if you get caught with this retro character selection for Halloween, get this hat/prop. Its an easy costume option that looks of good quality and is immediately recognizable as Sonic The Hedgehog. -Very good price too.

We bought this for my son's Halloween costume. He's really into retro games and he loves Sonic, so Sonic was a natural choice this Halloween. I made the rest of the costume (including the red Sonic shoes), but I didn't want to tackle the head. Anyway, my son is only 11, and maybe he has a big head, but this fit him pretty small. We kept having to stop during trick-or-treating so I could pull it down and secure it better. I did use the chin strap, but he didn't like it very much because it was uncomfortable. He wound up taking it off toward the end of the evening, which was disappointing to me.The only other problem is, after just a couple of trick-or-treat events, the felt (or whatever it's made out of) was starting to kind of pill up. If you were a true cosplayer, I don't think this would stand up to many events.But will all that said, my son got a LOT of comments on his costume. A lot of adults, and a surprising number of kids, knew exactly who he was supposed to be, so we were very pleased about that.

This is designed to be secured to your head by attaching the straps with Velcro BEHIND the head, not under the chin! It holds perfectly if you do it the proper way. I wouldn’t have known this if I didn’t have a wig from a different Halloween costume that hooks this way. It’s a great quality piece and looks and holds so well when it’s on properly.
