I bought this for my son's 9th birthday. He's in a big Billy Joel phase right now and has been trying to learn a couple of melodies on the piano my ear. He is an absolute beginner and this book gives the key melodies in a basic arrangement with the notes on the scale with the note names written along with them. I'm also giving him a little template to lay over the keys that shows the note names and where each key is on the scale. I think he's going to absolutely love this. It's exactly at the level I was hoping it would be at. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I love Billy Joel and have played the piano on and off for years. I am not very dedicated to it as a hobby however, and wanted something easy to help me. This lays out the notes and music in the most basic way possible, but that's exactly what I wanted! The lack of notes does not take away from the overall piece however, and it still sounds how it does normally
