If his thigh size is between 20.5" to 23", please get XL. If it's between 19" to 20.5", please try L. Can these be machine washed?

Thank you for asking the question. The washing instruction states that the knee brace needs to be washed by hand. If you have to machine wash the Cambivo NS10 knee braces, please wash with cold water and avoid adding any fabric softener.

Would you put the brace on before or after the activity

I run 5 miles every morning, i used them during my run. its all about prevention, once i finish my run, i feel no pain or discomfort during and after my run. I like the feel of this product during my activity. I had a Meniscus issue, ice and rest for two weeks. didn't run for a month, That is why i wear the Cambivo Knee Braces now.
