Awesome little pot!
We finally decided to toss our favorite smaller cook pot due to scratched and peeling coating, but found it's pretty tough to find a nice 2.5-3 quart one these days. After lots of searching we settled on this one, and it's been fantastic. The handles don't get hot, and they're pretty comfortable to dump boiling water from, which is a plus. The cover fits well and doesn't sputter like so many others we've tried. We like this pot so much I'll be adding another one in the 5 quart range for when we need something a little larger. Hopfully when this one eventually wears out from years of use it'll still be available so we can replace it with the same version, it's just what we hoped for.

TECHEF remains the best bang for the buck in your kitchen arsenal
I have a full array of tri-ply pots and pans but have been returning to teflon cookware due to my excellent experiences with TECHEF's products - their even heat distribution and ease of cleaning are unmatched. I have purchased several TECHEF items with great experiences across the board but still did diligence in comparing teflon saucepans. Frankly, the competitors don't compare. Cuisinart and especially Tramontina saucepans are great but not dishwasher safe which becomes a deal breaker for me. AmazonBasics and Utopia have some great inexpensive entry-level cookware that are dishwasher safe, but they use plastic in their handles and lids with an overall feeling of lightness and not much mass. The TECHEF Onyx collection (and really their entire product line from personal experience) have a substantial feel to them, with this 2 quart saucepan weighing in at 1 pound 9 ounces without the lid. The handle is metal (not plastic), riveted onto the body. The underside conducts heat evenly and rapidly from my gas burners. I've found TECHEF's teflon coating to be unmatched with extremely easy cleanup after having had some time to cool post-cooking. The lid is also worth mentioning, also with a substantial feel and rivet connections on the handle. I have no criticisms of this saucepan with the exception that I would love more sizing options. TECHEF seems to be rapidly bringing new products to the market so I am hopeful this will bring new options for the Onyx line. You'll be able to tell from my quick photos that this is a quality product with a contemporary designed yet highly functional. It's my suggestion that you overlook the similar products in the sub-$25 range because while they may be adequate, they won't offer the lifespan of use or refinement of TECHEF's products. All things considered, I am extremely happy with my purchase and plan for more in the very near future.

Nice pot but not induction ready
Loved the size of this pot, the look and the handles. But it says it is induction. It was not smooth on the bottom so I was afraid to keep. If I had another type of stove, I would have. It was the weight and size selling point.

Hard to find - perfect size
The TECHEF Onyx Collection 2.8-quart Soup Pot is an absolute gem! It's the perfect mid-size pot—not too big, not too small, just right for everything from soups and stews to sauces and side dishes. I’ve searched high and low for a pot this size, and let me tell you, it’s nearly impossible to find something comparable. Most had just the one handle. I wanted two. This pot fills that elusive gap in your kitchen lineup when you don’t need a massive stockpot or a tiny saucepan. The pot heats evenly, and the non-stick surface is a dream come true. Cleanup is quick and effortless, which is always a bonus. Plus, the glass lid is sturdy and lets you keep an eye on what’s cooking without having to lift it off. The design is sleek and modern, fitting right into my kitchen’s aesthetic. It feels durable and built to last, like something you’ll have in your kitchen for years to come. Overall, it’s a fantastic, hard-to-find pot that checks all the boxes. Highly recommended!

The Perfect Saucepan for a One or Two-Person Family
Well, I'm a huge TeChef fan -- their 12" saute and wok, and their 12" see-thru lid are my go-to cookware almost every night -- so I was interested in this new, two-quart saucepan and lid. It's terrific: PRO 1. It replaces a well-used Cuisinart -- which I'd thot was a two-quart but was reaslly a one-and-a-half quart -- and is an improvement in every aspect; 2. The non-stick surface TeChef has developed is the best I've ever used; indeed, my year-old TeChef pans, tho used daily, are still almost like new; 3. Altho I wasn't immediately sold on the metal handle -- a heat conveyor? -- it's size and length virtually preclude burned hands and give the entire pan a good, even balance; 4. This saucepan has multiple applications, and is perfectly sized for two-person families (we're empty nesters) -- and the thicker, flat bottom is a terrific heat spreader; 5. The see-thru, glass lid has a handle that is relatively high for a small sauce pan -- which allows it to be easily used with gloves or an oven mitt; and 6. The pan has no plastics, and thus is oven safe up to 350 degrees. CONs: 1. Not really a con, but the metal lid can get very warm in those rare occasions where the pan is set at a relatively high heat for a time -- so be careful? (Of course, the flip side here is that, since it's metal, it's oven safe, as noted above.

Really good pot for making soup, ramen, etc. The non-stick is really easy to clean. The pan also heats up very quickly
