How to Write an Awesome Paragraph Step-by-Step: Step-by-Step Study Skills

I like the ease of the explanation of the book step by step for my son who is homeschooled. He needed something he could use to understand the steps to write a good paragraph from step 1. It may fit some kids that are a bit younger but my son has an IEP and has accommodations so we use items that fit him best. So, if you are like us and are looking for something that is simple to start out with this is a great book.

Using this in our homeschool curriculum with my 10 year old who struggles with writing. I like that this breaks things down to a very, very basic level. Good for understanding and seeing the function and purpose of different parts of paragraphs -- but... I do wish it had more examples of correct responses.There is nothing to compare his answers to, so when I feel that what he has written is lacking he will sometimes just argue that it's fine. If the book had more "correct " examples, I would have that as a tool to guide him.Overall I would recommend the book because I do see improvements in his writing, however, for parents, just be aware that it's not going to give a lot of examples so maybe coupling it with another writing book is best to really reinforce and solidify the material.

I love the step- by- step method that they use, crystal clear instructions! This book is very simple to help kidswrite good paragraphs. I used it for my struggling 5-8 grade students that I tutor. We all love it. It gives them a since of accomplishment.

My student was a 4th grader with a writing disability. Very bright, but were struggling with written expression and intense anxiety around writing.Using this book over the course of 5 months has allowed them to build skills and confidence incrementally which now carries over to other written topics. Confidence has improved and the pace has been just right.Very imported with how methodically this progresses and how much repetition it builds in.As a caveat, it’s important the student have sentence writing down-pat before starting this, but the practice can help reinforce that learning.

This book is nice and has lots of good information. But seriously needs example answers to compare with!!!!

This workbook is a great way to get your kids used to the structure of a paragraph. It goes over a paragraph step by step with hints and prompts to build your child's confidence until the end where they create their own paragraphs. Would highly recommend for homeschooling.

This is very easy to use. We use it for homeschool. I find it's a very quick way to cover writing. My daughter doesn't seem to mind it, either.
