This is my second set of the gearwrench hook set . They are really superb quality and are very durable. I got these on sale during Christmas time so they were even more affordable than before. They function as designed well.

Bought this set because of price and I have 3 sets of GearWrench wrenches. This set is bigger in physical size than I originally thought. Still a nice set. Makes a great suplument to my other pick set. Has a good feel in the hand.

I just purchased 2 sets (of the 4-piece sets with storage pouch) and have inspected both. I wanted to clarify questions and update on issues that came up in prior reviews: -- The pouch that comes with each set now closes properly, at least on the ones I got. The snap button on each pouch also seems secure. Each pick has a small clear plastic (vinyl?) protective tube covering the tip. -- Each of the picks I received (8 total, across 2 sets) are securely attached to the handle. There is no movement at all. The picks themselves are thicker than expected, and likely too large/unwieldy to use on things like delicate computer electronics. Overall, they appear to be sturdy/strong, though I could see them bending under substantial pressure. -- Both my sets are now made in Taiwan but 'finished in mainland China', according to the packaging. The amazon listing currently says they're made in Taiwan, with no mention of China. I have not used these picks yet so can't vouch for durability under use or over the longer term. But I did want to clarify some of the issues and questions that came up in earlier reviews. I will try to update if any notable problems with the sets I got, once I've had a chance to use them.

I bought the GEARWRENCH 7-Piece Hook & Pick Set (84000H) and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. They’re larger than they appear in the photos, so if you’re hunting for a tiny precision set for delicate work, these aren’t it. But for bigger tasks—hoses, seals, o-rings, gaskets—these are perfect. The handles feel solid in the hand, the tips are sturdy, and they give you the leverage you need without flexing or bending. Overall, a well-made, heavy-duty set that’s great for larger jobs.

Very nice product from Gearwrench.

Had a really bad contractor who I fired for horrible work. I was left with mosaic tile with 1/16" grout lines, but he never removed the thinset so that they could be grouted. We saturated with Sulfamic acid, numerous times, to somewhat soften grout. These picks just barely fit to remove the thinset. They do wear down, we went through 3 sets on a 5x7 area. They also will come loose from handle if you use them to pull pretty hard. They are way more ergonomic than dental picks, and the metal is lots stronger. I am getting a 4th set to just have handy to remove stuff from corners of painting areas, woodwork, etc, etc. Wish I had though of them before. After you give up on wire brushes and toothbrushes for cleaning stuff, try these. Every household needs a set!! As with tiny needle nose pliers, most people don't know they exist, but they all want mine!!!!!

Well, Gearwrench generally makes good tools overall, these seem to ride right along with that adage. I bought these for two reasons, the handle looked allot more comfortable than almost every other brand and I can confirm they are very comfortable grips. Nice and beefy feeling in the hand, even for delicate picking. The second reason was I am making the assumption that the standards are a bit higher for quality of product and warranty with Gearwrench. People have raved about the brand for a long time and this is my first product from this brand. I can’t attest how long these will last, but they come well packaged and the steel feels strong, the product well finished. I assume Quality Control is a bit better as well. So they cost a smidge more than many other Amazon brands but for the aforementioned reasons, I sleep better knowing I have a decent set of picks when I absolutely need them LOL. That and the brands I usually gravitate to didn’t have as nice a looking set. This set has a a good assortment of picks to do both coarse and fine work. Add a nice utility brush to this set and it forms a great set of tools to clean your tools. You never knew how useful tools like this are until you start using them to clean things, retrieve tiny parts, using as awls, help with leverage on small fittings and mechanisms etc. it beats using my micro screwdrivers for similar tasks which I prefer to keep in good shape for working on my photography equipment and watches. Recommended.

No me gustó el color , pero tiene buen acabado y los materiales son buenos hasta el momento de la compra los eh usado bastante y no se deforma de las puntas usando de manera consciente para lo que está diseñado, me hubiese gustado que viniera en una funda de tela , la bandeja no se me hace práctico. Lo recomiendo, no son snapOn pero tienen muy buena calidad.
