What questionable content is in this game? Why is it suggested for players 15+? Thanks!

The game instructions contain the "F" word...enough said.

is there much to learn or a real know-how of the cards to enjoy? Is it a good pick-up-and-play to new playres not willing to commit to a new system?

It's a rather simple game to pick up and with a moderate skill cap. It should only take a few minutes of play to get the hang of it, and isn't a complicated game to play. It's something that can actually be played fairly quickly.

The box say 2-6 players, but has 8 characters. Would it be possible to play with all 8? or just even 7?

You could easily play this game with all eight characters. The only reason I can see why they limit it to 6 is because they only give you six tokens to keep track of HP's. You might need a few more victory tokens also. They are just little round cardboard cut outs for each so I see no problem finding some thing to use as extras.

How many cards does it come with?

It comes with a total of 178 cards, 8 oversized hero cards, a standee, 4 dice, and various bits and pieces (i.e. Life counters etc...).
