DEE ZEEDZ2138B Black-Tread Tailgate Protector

This is a piece of folded diamond plate that is painted black with some 3m double-sided tape on the bottom. It's simple and meets the need, assuming that your need is simply to cover up the top of your tailgate. This isn't the nice fitted product you'd get for several times the price. It may be a touch overpriced, but not terribly so.I cleaned the area really well with Isopropyl Alcohol and then pressed it into place. It's a bit tricky with some metal seams and folds already on the tailgate. I used a rubber mallet to help form it to the contours of the bed and it works pretty good. The fit and finish isn't great and I can tell that it isn't permanent, though to make it like new again will just take a couple strips of 3m tape.

I love the durability and look of this product, (when tailgate is closed) but it does not fit my 2008 F250 6.4 Crew Cab as stated that it did!!! If I leave my tailgate closed it looks awesome, but if I ride with tailgate down you can tell it’s not the proper one, looks horrible!

Instead of a u-shaped cap over the tailgate it is L-shaped and does not cover all of the top of the tailgate. Useless, returned it

It's not a true tailgate protector. They should list in the description that this piece is designed to fit on top of the factory protector and not replace it

Does not cover whole tailgate. 3M tape is not a good way to hold this item on. Flew off after 2 days. Very disappointed

Zero stars......... First of the picture is exactly what I needed but what I recurved is something different. The part number on the dee zee website says the past number fits an F250. I have an F150.......
