Did not last 6 months then showed an error.I examined the case and observed melted plastic near the transformer.Took the machine apart and found the transformer wires are aluminium and the connection with the board was twisted together and soldered (solder would not take to this)Not sure how this gets a CSA pass. mr carlsons lab on you tube found the same.I don't want this replaced.Source a safer make.

Doesn't perform at all as advertised. I bought it to act as a UPS for my A/V system, which is a little persnickety and my city's power grid is suspect. The output ranges between 115V to 118V at any given time, and doesn't protect my equipment at all from power fluctuations, even with the sensitivity set at max. Load sits at 6% so I'm not taxing it whatsoever. At this price, I would expect more. I can't even return it because of Amazon's policies, so I have a $200 paperweight. UPDATE - On Friday, September 13, there was a lightning storm in my area. Both my A/V receiver and my cable box were connected to the Battery/Surge strip, and both fried. While there's an insurance coverage policy with this product, I feel that I can't take advantage due to the fact that I bought the audio receiver some time ago used and the cable box is a rental. Still, I have to question whether I got a faulty unit or whether this product just doesn't work.

APC quality, and plenty of power protection for my home NAS. No more worries about power fluctuation or outages.
