It's a stain, not a dye
Love it! Using it for several years. Would not use another brand. Does not dry hair.

Love this
I have long dark brown hair. I have some gray. I use this product a couple of way.....if I get my hair colored, then I use this as touch up at the roots.....put it on twenty minutes on my part before I get in the shower.........Also in the summer my top layer of hair gets really lightened to an orangey in the sun. I just take that section of my hair, put a little Ash Brown on it about twenty minutes before I shower and it looks great. Also my husband has a little heavy grey on his temples.........he dabs that area with a Q-tips..coarse hair might take two coats and he has even left it on overnight and shampooed in the morning. My sister in law used it when she was pregnant........... I used a product like this when I use to perm.......it really helps the damaged hair........also used this type of product when I just had a small amount of grey in my long hair........to blend the greys.............I love this product......great to have on hand for an emergency...........this product also washes off your skin and counters pretty well...................loved this once I found my color............................

works for me - with adjustments
I have very gray hair - almost white on the top of my head. I used a 4 year old box of this dye and my hair came out brassy yellow. It could have been because it was 4 years old - not sure. Anyway, I toned it down with a rinse of diluted purple dye, and it came out a really natural blond color. So the second time I did it (with my last box of 4 year old dye), I mixed a dap of purple dye in with it and again got the really nice natural blond color. I like being blond. I think having very dark hair when you're older looks unnatural. This blond color is great. I realize this is brown dye, but temporary color doesn't penetrate well because it sits on top of the hair, and gray hair is resistant. That's fine with me.I prefer a temporary rinse with no peroxide because I have curly hair and any peroxide turns my hair into straw, plus I can't bear roots. If I decide to go gray again, I can just let it fade off.I just bought some more of this dye, and when my current color wears off, I'll try it. I'll probably mix in the dab of purple, though the dye is new, because I saw another review that it turned her hair orange. Mine was more canary yellow, but it's the same problem. The tiniest bit of purple dye fixes this! I happened to have some because I thought about dyeing my hair purple at one point (I didn't).

No grey coverage
Did not cover greys, even at maximum time, and I don’t even have that much

good substitute for Loving Care
I was glad to find this after they took Loving Care off the market. It's the only substitute I've found and it's prettycomparable. Just wish the price was a little lower.

Color didn't cover gray hair. The brown that colored the non gray was comparable to discontinued Clairol loving color /care whatever the name was :-)

Fair
No allergic reaction but color washes out very fast. Really only last thru 2-3 shampoos. Just not the same as other products.
