Have several of these. Very happy with them and that's why we keep buying them whenever we get a new model vehicle. Helps us know what is wrong and lead our mechanics in the direction they need to go. Helps to keep them honest also.

Bought the iCarsoft US V2.0 to diagnose problem with 2014 Grand Cherokee since this unit listed comprehensive features for diagnosing US vehicles. I was favorable impressed with the unit in terms of ergonomics - easy to use like a game controller. Also it came in a nice case with appropriate pockets and substantial cables. Included was a manual, but this was brief, very small with small print and written by someone whose first language was not English.Downloading the current software was successful but somewhat difficult since the only OS supported is MS Windows and updating procedure instructions were provided in MS docx format so unless you have the current version of MS Word you can’t read it.Going through the menus, the diagnostic procedures appear to be straightforward and intuitive even if you aren’t an electrical engineer. But, when accessing the transmission control module [TCM], where the problem was, a “link error” message kept appearing which could not be resolved.I contacted iCarsoft support and was asked to provide VIN and screenshots of the scanner which I did. However, after a week and re-send of the mail I never heard back from them.Ultimately went to the dealer who charged me about the same as the iCarsoft US v2.0 unit cost to find the problem.Don't know if there was a problem with my specific unit or if the ICarsoft US cannot handle all makes and codes but I am returning unit for refund.
