Elinchrom D-Lite RX 4/4 Studio Flash to Go Kit (EL20839.2)

I've had the lights for about six months and used them heavily for ebay product photography. Setup is a little complex but once you have the lighting correct these units seem pretty flawless. If you can remember the instructions, then changing light intensity can be done at the camera which allows for a quick setup. The umbrellas take a few minutes because you fiddle with the metal rods and the holder but that seems pretty normal. There are thoughtful touches like a lock mechanism that ensures the umbrella doesn't come off the flash fixture. Also you can turn the flash trigger off and save batteries.

The media could not be loaded. I’m Elinchrom client professional photographer,I’m in love with this flash ,you can put everything in 2 bags and you are good to go,very lightweight.Power modulation and sensor are a plus.The trigger is easy to use.Perfect for professional (to go set) and non pro if you want something durable and reliable.

The lights do the job and the kit comes with a remote trigger which is essential unless you want to be hardwired. My three complaints are:the Octobox is too small to do anything with. It doesn't disperse the light well due to its size. You could potentially face it towards the ceiling and bounce light but it's pretty worthless. I will have to buy another larger softbox like the one that came in this kit for a good studio setup.The rods that go in the softboxes aren't easy to put in so breaking it down often would be annoying and time-consuming.The plastic rings for the rodes to go into are flimsy. One of ours came broken and it took me a good hour to figure it out that a piece had broken. I don't have confidence that the rings will last.

I'm a fashion photographer, and while I've always been interested in Elinchrom products, I wanted to see if I liked them before buying their more expensive lights. These are PERFECT and last through the multiple hour shoots I do without ever slowing down. They're compact and easy to transport, and the soft boxes they come with are versatile for what they are. I'm now hooked on Elinchrom and will continue to expand my collection of gear.

I just recently put this together and it was pretty easy when I went to Youtube and looked up how (the user manual really didn't have TOO much on the assembly). Other than that it works great. My only concern is one of the lights has a little rattling when I move it around. Not sure if something is loose inside or not, but at least it works.

Amazing equipment. I am making product photography, portraits and baby photoshoot... It is a very reliable product, couldn't be more happy.
