I can be rough on cameras, and I have always felt a few dollars spent to add some protection to the screens of a $3000 piece of equipment is money well spent. Things changed with the Nikon D850 and the advent of touch-sensitive screens. On my previous cameras, I used a different style of screen protectors which were much thicker glass and provided superb protection against scratches and bumps. Sadly, those protectors will prevent using a touch screen, as they are simply too thick. So, by necessity, this LCD protector is extremely thin tempered glass that will allow use of the touch screen (the same as screen protectors on smartphones). It will help protect against scratches and minor bumps, but is probably not going to save your screen from a serious impact. Not a fault of the product, just a necessary tradeoff if you want to use touch-screen capabilities. The smaller cover for the readout on top of the camera is a pliable film, not glass. It would have been nice if it were glass, but perhaps that screen is too small for glass to adhere to. Don't know. The film is only going to protect from minor scratches. Bottom line, the thin tempered glass and film combination is not bulletproof by any means. It is simply better than nothing. For a few dollars relative to the cost of the camera, for me it falls into the "nothing to lose" category. Both the tempered glass and readout film were easy to apply, directions and support materials are included, and I was able to install both without bubbles or dust specks. You get two each of each protector, so it is good value for the money.

16SEP2025. Just received and installed this iDapro Screen protector for my Nikon D850 FX DLSR. This has been the easiest to install screen protector for any device I have purchased. The kit included two each rear and top screen protectors. Nice to have a spare if one gets damaged during use but they are quite substantial and I suspect are hard to damage. The protector for the rear touch screen and the top screen are thick, making them easy to install as they almost seem to lay down on the screens like a magnet attracted to metal. Unlike thinner protectors, it was easy to push out any remaining air pockets. The rear touch screen does not seem to be affected by the protector with touch sensitive seeming normal. The kit included wet and dry wipes to clean the screens on the camera as well as 'tacky" tabs to remove any settling dust (which I did not need to use). Just ordered more for my D7500 DX and D750 FX bodies.

Somehow I always misalign protectors and get a hair or something under it. This went on extremely easy, and the cleaning product included helps a lot. Barely even recognize its on and it doesn't affect touch screen at all.

Perfect fit at a reasonable price. Nice quality that is totally transparent and doesn’t affect the touchscreen.

Instale el protector tanto en la pantalla de mi camara Nikon d850 asi como en el Panel de Control. Trae todo lo que necesitas para ello. Para limpiar el área, retirar material extraño y las instrucciones precisas para hacerlo. Se instala muy facil y queda sin huellas ni burbujas. Pero lo mas importante es la proteccion que te brinda y ademas de que la pantalla como es touch screen sigue funcionando y no pierde la sensibilidad al contacto. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

Impeccable, la protection s’adapte au millimètre aux écrans du D850. La vitre arrière ne gêne en rien le tactile et se fait oublier instantanément. La vitre de l’écran supérieur n’est pas indispensable mais à le mérite d’être là et se fait oublier elle aussi. Excellent produit je recommande vivement.
